looks kinda good dawg
just with the 23+ inches monitor lol i think its pretty nice
I would say yes, it seems like a pretty sick computer, especially for 550. I would expect a computer like that to cost 1k~. I'm just not sure how the gts250 performs in SLI, that would be my only concern (It should be pretty good though)
Looks a little toooooooooo cheap...
pretty good. the Q6600 is a bit dated, but it can still work. Especially with the added keyboard and mouse. I would go for it.

Seems fine, but make sure it's legit...

This is too good to be true. If the comp was heavily used, maybe. But the graphics, OS, etc. are too new to be that cheap.
Why would they offer Razer mouse + keyboard along with it?
This is like a huge nerdbait... be careful.
as an used system, what do you think the price range for this system should be?
This rings alot of alarm bells man... with all that stuff he should be selling it for 1000 and still I'd say you would consider buying it (depending on the condition). If he knows that much about computers to build that thing, there's no way he would sell it that cheap.
The price is a bit fishy.
Did this guy win this at a contest and wants to sell it quickly, but doesnt know the value?

Used or no, its pretty high quality... 800 would be a deal for you, I think
With the monitor, yes. Ask him to open up the case and make sure everything is there though lol.

$550 Canadian?!?! That deal seems crazy good, I would definitely buy if it was legit. Check up on it for sure.
He could not sell that computer for $1000. At max it is worth around $900 by today's standards. $800 if you don't count the OS. Of course, you're going to have to go there to check up on it. Then again, it's used, so I would stay away unless he let you run Prime95 + other stuff to test out all the components.
Yea, the used bit scares me away. But if it were all new, the Deathadder/Lycosa and the 23.4 inch moniter is are like $300 on their own. If you can prime 95 the components and they check out, you should definitely try to pick it up.

I'd look into whether or not Starcraft 2 will support SLI. I was under the impression that it doesn't and won't (my CrossFire 2nd card is sitting idle when I play), but I've heard some people say they have it working, and admittedly I haven't spent too much time researching it because my FPS is fine. Anyways, it's something to look into.
EDIT: As for the hardware in general, it looks like a pretty nice deal. I'd go for it if you don't want to build your own and save even more.
Holy shit yeah thats a good deal. Even one of those gpu's are enough to run SC2 let alone both of them SLI'd. That's a really good deal for an already built and working computer and monitor for $550, you would have to spend almost double that just to build the same thing.

you don't think 800 wouldn't be a good deal?
I've seen core 2s with 7 or 8 series geforce cards, less ram, generic mice/keyboard and no monitor selling for 600+.
Great deal up front, but I would always be suspicious of used computer parts. New, that would probably run you 1k.

1k us or cdn? or is it about the same? (haven't check exchanged rates lately)
It's used. That changes the entire picture :p
You don't know how well he was taking care of the computer, and you don't know if all of the parts are functioning properly.
That price is amazing. Mobo and ram is a bit outdated but your still getting a decent cpu with good graphics(last time I checked the GTS 250 was in the mid $100's). Win7 costs $100. The mouse and keyboard together are prob another $100.
As FragKrag see if he'll let you run prime95 for at least an hour. Otherwise just run hwinfo32 to confirm components/temps quickly, take a quick peek in the case to see that hardware is in tact. I'd take that deal in a heartbeat.
Way too cheap to be legit in my opinion.
Well those are both lower end GTS 250s which are older models, but the CPU and mobo are the most dated parts on the computer. Q6600 is an old champion, but it is old, and quite simply not the performer it once boasted to be :p
See if he is using default Intel HSF. If he isn't, you can get an extra ghz out of that Q6600 easily I think.
Just out of curiosity since you are a computer guru, what do you think about this combo deal? http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboBundleDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.343620
Seems like an awesome deal and I am probably going to be needing another desktop computer in my house. This is going to be for basically everything, gaming, movies, hw, etc. I will probably be slapping a 5770 onto it, or some other GPU that is relatively cost efficient.
Yeah that is a pretty good deal for a decent gaming machine. I was actually considering it, but they had to slap that H55 motherboard on it ><
i'd go for it, as long as the monitor/razr stuff is in good condition the other stuff is so cheap that even if you have to replace one of the other components you're probably getting a decent deal.
What? The two most expensive components on there are easily the 2x GTS 250s which are like 130 USD a piece.
Make sure it's legit ...
And yes, that's one hell of a great deal =)
good deal, looks fishy. if all the hardware turns out to be working and you end up buying it, first thing you should do is format it.
looks like it might have been a scam. the guy didn't even show up. I don't know why people do this.
