I'm so angry right now. I went to WWI 2008 in Paris. Got a beta key. Never used it. A few minutes ago I realized I can use it to get into the SC2 beta (was reading the SC2 beta FAQ). Naturally I got reaaaaaally happy. So I went to the site, typed in my beta key code, didn't fill in the optional info, entered the security code and pressed submit. Bam, 'an error occured' without any reason. So I go back, try again. This time I also enter my address info, just to be sure. I press submit already afraid of what will come next.
And uhh, a big red box appears right below the beta key code I entered. 'Beta key already claimed'
FUCK FUCK FUCK
I submitted a support call but I doubt they'll do anything at all. Tough luck I guess.

are you serious?
did you read the op?

Well I wouldn't say it's impossible someone guessed a key But it's far more likely something went wrong during the first submit.

btw i think a beta keygen would be pretty damn fukin hard as keygens usually just choose a key from a list of keys they have stored in them...
also, thread hijacked... by southpark

Ah well the friend I went to WWI with has it worse. He doesn't play WOW so he didn't use his key either. Some time last fall he decided he can't sell the key any more and he doesn't want to use it so he THREW IT AWAY. Simply threw it in the trash.

Email them a picture of your beta key and any other loot bag stuff you have left over from the trip. Hopefully that will encourage them to rectify the user error.

Yeah probably. Blizzard is usually pretty helpful towards stuff like that.

Something similar happened to my friend when he was registering a WoW account. He put in the key and went to the next page then something came up IRL and he went afk for like 40 minutes.
When he came back he continued the registration and when he tried to go to the next page he got a 'Time out' message. Went back and 'key was in use'. He never got it resolved as far as I know. =/

I had the exact same problem. However when I called blizzard and gave them my key, they checked that it was registered to my email, and told me that when the site gave me the error message, the key was actually entered. If you call them you should be able to have it dealt with.
Don't be a sad panda, be a mad panda, and then channel your rage at blizzard tech support. It always works out.
