If you aren't 100% sure it's safe to leave, then you could return after dinner to a defeat screen lol... Happened to me once.
Contained the protoss on Python, he had 1 base 1 nat and 1 island expo, I had rest of map. Then I contained him with mass turrets, mines and tanks. I came back after dinner and bathing (around 40 mins) and I lost with 20k minerals.

but i always thought girls LIKED the after sex cuddling part? Isn't it even more BM to wham bam thankyou mam and dart for the door? I mean i guess if you are going for 20/30 a day, then you would be in a rush to leave, but for the less experienced, the post gg part is also immensely enjoyable.

Left the comp as his buildings were flying away, came back way later and played morrowind for an hour and then remembered that I had a bw game minimized so I opened it. The first thing I hear is "Nuclear launch detected". I was literally on the floor laughing :p.

I remember this PvP game, I did 3 gate, he did quick DT, so I lost all my probes but lost his bad, sadly, he had a shuttle and made a single pylon on the island ~_~, so i lost all my cash, all i had was 20 goons and 1 obs, with a pylon and a robo. no more nexus ~_~
I told him, "quit the fucking game already, you clearly lost." and the flame wars began, the bad thing is, I couldnt make a shuttle cuz my mins were effing 198 ~_~

Heh yeah I was the same way before. Loved to watch the big battles, also lost a lot as well. Now I love when people leave early cuz I have to do less work to win, unless I have a huge advantage and I am just screwing around with my opponent (which doesn't seem to happen much unfortunately).

The comp as in my computer, the opponent was a human that's why I was laughing so and also why I obviously couldn't cheat :p

That's seriously epic, did he end up leaving or he stayed in the game for 8 hours ?

Oh god I can account for this many many times. I can't stand it either when the person doesn't have the common courtesy to leave after they are pretty much done. I rather get going with the next game then sit there and search for there buildings to destroy. Back before 2001 I didn't mind playing long games just for the fact I was always happy to play SC but after quitting 4 years and coming back and noticing how the game of SC had evolved so much into a faster pace, I literally began to hate having to search and destroy buildings when its clear on who won the game. It's a waste of time and being an adult now playing this game involves me only having a few hours a week to play.

What? Does your opponent really not breathe before you get carriers?

Sorry man, but that's a draw, not a win for you

When it's a draw situation I just leave the game going. One time I stayed in a game for over 6 hours till the other guy finally left.

i guess the best course of action is to know youre going to win at 30 minutes and prolong it for another 30 >:} Sorry, but not similiar at all since DoTA is a waste of time, period.
you can make an argument that all video games are a waste of time. and Dota is amazing wtf are you talking about.
