In SC my mouse is SLIGHTLY laggy. It's like those effects online where something will follow your mouse around the screen, only faster. It's like I move my mouse, and it takes a splitsecond to respond so it's like bait on my mouse's fishhook or something. For me, it makes playing SC REALLY annoying.
I don't know what happened, I didnt change any settings really or anything like that. It seemed to have happened overnight, so rather than really accurate movement, it's laggy and makes me have to move my mouse way slower and often overshoot what I want.
I reformatted a bit after that. After reformatting, I have my USB port at 500 updates/sec, I've disabled Windows acceleration using a registry tweak, and I use Setpoint for my Logitech G5 mouse. I really have no idea what this is. It seems that no matter what DPI/Sensitivity combo I use, it's not comfortable.
Googling it leads me to conclude that it might have something to do with USB port conflicts...but when I unplug my two externals nothing is changed. The only other thing I have plugged into a USB is my keyboard. However, it's been that way for a long time before the problems started.
I've updated my graphic's card drivers, I disabled Direct X 9.0C sound acceleration (just random, saw it helped someone during my googling). I've found a few sites with all these technobabble jargon about mouse tics and shit that I have no clue how to interpret so I can't really follow it.
I'm just really at my wit's end on what to do to fix this or what the problem could even be. Does anyone have any idea? The lag doesn't happen anywhere but SC.
