This fucking reality...
We no longer need the Postillon, or anything like it. I wonder if this is what it feels like to live in Discworld.

Presumably unaware that editing in the context of a youtuber means video editing.

Like I knew a 2nd Trump term would at the very least result in a lot of new glorious memes, but this Elon-arc is increasingly promising. And that says a ton

Damn this is pathetic... a temper tantrum over being called out (accurately I might add) for being bad at computer games. I knew he was a megalomaniac and a narcissist, but not to this extent. I watched him play Diablo 4 and thought nothing of it, because Diablo 4 isn't exactly hard, just grindy. This whole PoE2 situation became farcical very quickly, thanks to him melting down quicker than Chernobyl. Now clips are surfacing from Joe Rogan's podcast, Elon claimed to be world-class in Starcraft (idk if its Brood War or 2) AND Quake? How low can you go? Why do you need this sort of validation in your life?

People don't even need to do anything to drag Elon. He's the entire meme factory on fire.

The operating assumption was that Elon must be a genius and hard worker to be so wealthy. Meanwhile he's doing more to dispel people of that myth than anyone could have hoped to do on their own.
Maybe this is the start of people realizing that the idea that billionaires "earned" their billions (and the power that comes with it in an oligarchy) is no less absurd than believing Kings were divined to rule by God.

Of course it was absurd to believe that, those kings died and thus are proven not be divinely ordained. Our new Billionaire kings are still alive, so the jury is out on that. I suggest we try the witch trial methods, if they live the evidence is there that we are wrong.
+ Show Spoiler +It is sad that I have to mention this is mostly sarcastic.

Count Elon out. He can't even take being figuratively flamed. No way he'll survive a literal flaming!

It’s the silver lining that keeps me going haha

It's a genious move tbh. Hes got all you people talking about him again. Like how many stupid/absurd things has Trump done in the last 10 years, and in the end it got him more votes every consecutive election. I think Musk it trying to learn his magic. Any publicity is good publicity eh?

Oof..

I wonder if this will teach anyone that billionaires aren't just like them.

I find being a bumbling moron more relatable than the normal idea I have of 'billionaire' tbh. Get in a stupid fight with someone on the internet? Yup. Attend galas, buy companies, get invited to exclusive fundraisers? nope.

musk actually tweeting about fucking asmongold of all people is depraved

If I had billions I wouldn’t spend a minute on social media.

There are very very few people on a gaming forum like TL that I can imagine paying someone else to play videogames for them

While true, it begs the question who exactly is the faking gaming cred for? Boomer generations and older tends to think gaming well into adulthood is lame. The right wing manosphere tends to be outright hostile to the idea of men gaming for any length of time as all time should be spend making business deals or something.
But anyone younger is going to think faking your gaming cred is extremely lame. Was it just to brag to clueless chuckleheads like Rogan? He was quite audacious to think no-one would catch on when he actually started showing his gaming because at that point his game was up.
Is it arrogance or desperation for validation? Because gamers would have been very happy with the idea of Elon, the billionaire who runs so many business, likes to chill playing video games- and he streams himself just being a casual gamer like Jablinski Games! (One of the best celebrity gaming videos, by the way). Nobody needed Elon to be the back to back, two time champ of PoE/ Diablo except Elon himself. This is all on him and him alone.
He may be intelligent, yet he is a fool. The riches of fools, but a fool nonetheless.

We missed out on Musk vs. Zuckerberg cage match, but I wonder if you could goat Musk to challenge some people to prove his skill. Beat downs from pros would be fun, but matches against AOC etc. would be hilariously stupid historic events.
