Have to take the opportunity to brag in this blog.
I know most of the swedish CS 1.6 elites. face (former nip-face) is my IRL friend since first grade elementary school. Played in the same clan 4-5 years back before I quit.
Interesting Starcraft-Counterstrike related trivia:
Heaton started out his e-sports career playing Starcraft under the nickname Hydr@lisk. Well not really -- he wasn't particularly good -- only played for a year before switching to Counterstrike.
Dsn and ins of fnatic play Starcraft fairly frequently. Once in every while we play cross game SC/CS 2v2s. Ins is actually pretty decent. He and SaFT[pG] were in the same high school class. He used to be better than SaFT, at least the first year; that is until saft spent an entire summer cramming at an internet café, pwning everyone up afterwards.
Jesse[pG] -- zerg player, think he played in WCG 2001, along with kenka and kovax -- was a pretty succesful CS-player as well (don't know him though).
Playing CS the first time in about 1-1.5 year, I bump into TreK on a random deathmatch server.
