Is there any word on NHL or Madden games coming to the switch or is EA still dumb enough not to?

I just want to give a little shout-out to a nice, fun, cute, creative platformer that I just played through: New Super Lucky's Tale. I love platformers, and this scratched my itch for the time being. The controls and movement felt really good, especially considering I just played some Super Mario Sunshine before that lol. I still have to play through Hollow Knight, the new Ori, Super Mario Galaxy, and A Hat In Time too though

As for Sunshine, it's my first run through, and I've never seen the full game, so experiencing it blind. Smoother camera than Mario 64 is definitely a plus, but in general still feels a bit rough like an older game. Been hitting levels that are suddenly demanding of high precision moves too, and very punishing, so it's been unexpectedly frustrating at times. Also the weirdest Mario game I've ever seen. Trying to go through them in order as I'm most excited about returning to Galaxy. All in all, it's fun and unique, but an odd little product of the early aughts with some rough edges. + Show Spoiler + That secret level remix of the Mario 1 theme is fucking legit tho

It's my first playthrough of Sunshine too, and I'm disappointed in how poorly the controls feel, especially when reasonably high precision is needed. It feels much more slippery than Super Mario 64. I've never played Galaxy either, but I've heard much better things about Galaxy than Sunshine.

I think Nintendo Ice Hockey and Tecmo Bowl are the way to go for hockey and tackle football. I play Nintendo Ice Hockey over a pretty lousy WiFi set up against friends who live 1500 km away and there is very little lag. Its great. If Super Tecmo Bowl ever comes out for the Nintendo Switch I suspect there will be competitive leagues made by the Super Tecmo Bowl community.it'll be awesome.

+ Show Spoiler + First, LOL that voice acting for Bowser. To the game, my main problem was with how progress was measured and the feedback I got as I was collecting Shine Sprites. I can take a lot of punishment from a game, as long as I know what my time is working towards. There's only a couple of points in the game where your progress triggers something when you get back to Delfino, the rest of the time you just rinse and repeat the same thing with no feedback on where you're going. Contrast with both Mario 64 and Mario Galaxy where your goals and progress are always very trackable at all times, you know how many stars you need to open the next big door or get to the next galaxy, that kind of thing. It wasn't until the very end of Sunshine that I get my 69th Shine Sprite (lol) and realized that the goal was to + Show Spoiler + beat Shadow Mario in every level All that said, for its weirdness it's also a very cute game, and I still enjoyed it. Glad I got to experience it for the first time with 3D All-Stars. Getting right into Galaxy after finishing it, and it's glorious, as good a game and as beautiful as I remember it, and my favorite controls of any 3D Mario, I think. Very debatable for me whether I like Galaxy or Odyssey better.

Also super weird that the first isn't on sale but 2 is Very mixed reception on that one. It has a convoluted combat system that some find deep while others find overwrought. The more anime story and character designs compared to the first one has been divisive. It can be very stereotypical anime at times. The Switch remake for XC1 is a more recent release. XC2 on the Switch is an older game in terms of sales, I suppose. I find the first one to be better in all aspects.

But there were definitely some cringe elements with some of the character design and story.

(Just a shameless plug for one of my favorite games of all time.)
