At least on your own Facebook page or what have you.
Frankly, again personal preference I’m perfectly happy with B2W to respond as they have here. Probably evidence that I have no future in any kind of forward facing PR role mind haha

at least you finally understood your mistake and made a good decision to go back to classic graphics.
Keep up the good work, cheers.

Oh neither would I. I'm not capable of staying diplomatic when I get frustrated or annoyed. That's why I'm a programmer and not a PR rep as well
I used to work in sales tho. I remember telling one of our customers to go fuck themselves after lashing out to me for 15 minutes straight over something neither I nor anyone else could possibly have any control over. How I didn't get in trouble for that is beyond me.
I understand how good it feels, I really do. But it's petty and not a good look.

New patch is out with various bug fixes, including desyncs apparently.
Zug Zug! Just a quick note to let everyone know that we have a dedicated team here focused on Warcraft III. Alongside our continued efforts to bring monthly patches with bug fixes and quality of life changes, the team is prioritizing delivering features like Ranked Ladders, Profiles, Clans, and Custom Campaigns. We’ll continue to share more details as those features are nearing release, but know we’re here and hard at work on the game. https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/warcraft3/t/warcraft-iii-reforged-version-1323-patch-notes/22869

It's been so nice being able to easily follow things and everything not looking like dog shit. Everyone showered them with praise after going back to classic lol.

Requiring 1.5GB for a patch with relatively minor changes suggests they really rushed the software architecture design of Reforged when they first started working on it. Activision Blizzard was too stingy and now they're paying the price with this inflexible mess.

DotA2 also makes me download patches bigger than 1GB just to get the new version that certainly doesn't have 1GB worth of content.
You are downloading the re-compiled versions of files, so even a small change to a few lines of code results in a new file that must be re-downloaded.

The DotA2 community is used to gigabyte-large patches from the devs changing some lines of code, but Warcraft 3 players are not yet. If you point out the large patches in DotA2, the DotA2 players respond with "just get better internet bro, 1GB is nothing." It will take time, maybe about a year, for Activision Blizzard to normalise these oversized patches so that whatever community is left of Reforged will start to mimic the "just get better internet bro" attitude of DotA2 players.

Don't get me wrong, I agree. In Australia I have unlimited net, but it sure isn't particularly fast. And I can't imagine being told bullshit like that if people are on a not unlimited plan. As a bonus, when I googled to try to better research why they set it up that way, I ran into a bunch more of those toxic attitudes in the process.
I don't know enough about common practise in the industry (I do scientific computing which isn't really "real" programming) to know how reasonable it is to go the DotA route, though. The argument that re-compiled code means re-downloading compiled files at least makes a basic sense to me though.

anyways, imo this is a non-patch again. Shame that it breaks the "old version" replays, too.. I mean is it really that hard to make things work..?
Well.. at least the naga "footprints" are made right again.

I find it so hard to believe how far gone blizzard is. The more they work on the game the worse it gets. Is there no one in this community that can get the message across to these guys?

Shame really, hell if ever there is a time to properly patch a video game it’s when vast swathes of the populace are going into lockdown.

I'm inclined to believe that ActiBlizz has deemed this project a failure and put a lid on it with no intention of ever fixing it. They got their money from pre-orders and they're good with leaving it at that.

Does anyone know how to force black-bars 4:3 on a 16x9 monitor in the reforged client? Changing the resolution to 4:3 in the config file results in stretch 4:3.

might be in your monitor settings where you can mess with the aspect ratio.

all western final of the WGL Summer 2020 March Open Qualifiers, now that's impressive! I don't think we ever had a western player making the finals and we have 2 this time around
Foggy (NE) vs (HU) HawK
where Foggy beat WFZ (UD) 3-2 and HawK beat 120 (UD) 3-1 in the semis
Nice.
