I don't understand.. there are so many comments about using the classic graphics under their YT videos, too.. Most people are asking politely.. but only the ones praising Reforged graphics and calling people who prefer classic "whiners, crybabies, annoying" etc are getting "hearted" comments from B2W.. it's weird. anyways, about why they were using classic graphics in the latest broadcast.. I'll tell you why..  because it was a netease tournament and netease doesn't have "Reforged" graphics implemented yet, as far as I know. So even if they wanted to use Reforged graphics, they would not be able to.. hence classic graphics were used.That is all. It's not because they finally came to their senses or anything like that. And to answer your last question - I really don't think so.. At least not any example I'm able to come up with now.. and definitely not any examples of old games being "Reforged" in a way that it literally deletes and destroys the old game and makes the new "Reforged" version barely playable and 50x worse than the original.. I really don't think this "feat" will ever be repeated again. Ever. | ||

I enjoy the high res textures and models greatly. The colours/brightness could be better but you get used to it. There are a few models in particular that to me are firmly in the uncanny valley. For example Undead Arthas/Death Knight model. | ||

I kinda lost much of my respect for neo and remo for shilling so hard for new graphics even after blasting Bli$$ard for being incompetent bunch of wankers that put out barely functional game, etc.. If they don't fix this anytime soon I won't watch any broadcasts using Reforged graphics. I just can't stand watching it, gives me the creeps. And I tried really hard too.. Thank God there are still couple of YT channels that cast replays in Classic graphics.. I mean Bli$$ard fucked them up too, so they're not as good as they used to be (especially the sounds..), but Its either that or nothing.. | ||

There isn't a chance in hell Blizzard is not aware of the disaster they created. The truth is they just dont care. We watched them let SC2 decay away slowly because there wasnt enough new revenue coming in. They did such a bad job on reforged they are likely just to cut their losses and never improve anything. Its so bad now that it has no chance of surviving or maintaining a competitive player base. I know there have been poor releases before, but those were always with new games. This game is 18years old and everyone knows what they're missing. This is why no one is motivated to put up with all the bullshit that comes with playing reforged combined with complete lack of communication with teh community. I mean when the first major tournament was a debacle and they havent even made a statement about it or shown any sort of incentive to fix the issues, the writing is on the wall for the future of this game. | ||

It's got too much going for it and it has form, surviving for 10 years without a patch. Bnet could well become a ghost town (though it's a long way from it now) but thats a different matter. Netease is going nowhere. WC3 has China for the foreseeable future. If things get too bad in EU a private server will pop up too. | ||

Such a disaster, such tragedy. And I was really looking forward to WC3R breathing new life into the game and revitalizing the community while new tournaments and a world tour pop up and I have plenty of WC3 to watch again. It has been over a month and all I can see is bad press for it, without any signs of it improving (and I don't really mind the new graphics, I kind of like it, but everything else is a joke). I have no idea what would it take for me to regain any sort of trust in Blizzard, but sure as hell it won't be anytime soon. | ||
