Things that should have been done before the World Cup he only looked at afterwards because the World Cup went so terribly. Afterwards he couldn't help but change a lot of stuff because it was very clear a lot of players he kept relying on were past their prime. The only real mistake he's made on these cuts is entirely barring the way for Hummels who was the best German defender in the 2nd half of the last season by a mile, and whose quality with the ball would have been incredible to have against the Netherlands. At the same time then we'd have had a lack of speed to play around, which is another layer. In general people like to overreact when it comes to our national team though. We beat the Netherlands in Amsterdam but now that we lost at home everything is shit again and it's all Löw's fault. But really our offense is just so much worse now that Sané is injured.

edit: Bulgaria capitulated in the second half and we ended up winning 4:0. So maybe my post was a bit unnecessarily negative.

Sure throwing Hummels out was maybe not his best decision and mistakes were made, but the EU qualifier were always more glorified friendlys for Germany and Löw is trying stuff. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Ofc losing to Northern Ireland today would be another story, but losing to a young and hungry Netherlands is nothing out of the ordinary IMO.

The most dangerous situations offensively for Germany came from abusing speed advantage against the back 4. Then Werner would have been a fast-paced option from the bench late in the game instead of playing the first half as a complete and total non-factor. To boot, Löw's system doesn't have a spot for Kai Havertz, one of the biggest talents in German football. When there are no injuries holding them back, I think Germany can field the fastest and most dangerous offensive there is right now. Would love to see them play in a Kloppo style super hard pressure kinda system. EDIT: Dunno man. Netherlands was out of the picture for so long, I really don't feel any rivalry there from our side. Might be different for the dutch to win vs the big bad neighbour though. IMO Germany's nemesis is still Spain, but maybe that's just me

And from a competitive POV as Harris said Netherlands have been out of the picture for so long. I see France as the biggest rival of Germany now

In general, I think both countries have moved a bit past the rivalry that there was in the 80s and 90s, but NL-DE is still a special match.

But more for the funsies, not a real rivalry. And our "musicians" will do the same for any big football country that misses a cup. England, Italy, ... EDIT: As I'm pretty sure the other football nations would (and I guess did) make fun of Germany if we don't qualify or show some horrendous football and go out in the Ro32

I call and raise you a João Félix - C. Ronaldo - Bernardo Silva for the most fastest and dangerousest. And then France comes in, goes all in and we all fold.

United have failed to win away since Solskjaer's permanent appointment It may be a bit misleading with the interim manager period not being considered and summer break extending the time span, but it still feels like unbeliavable. They should have won 2 this season already.
