Rebic and Jovic were the only reason Frankfurt was good last season. Incredible hard worker, dangerous, fast

Yes, lets forget Haller (top10 scorer in the Bundesliga last season), Trapp (at least top3 goalkeeper), da Costa, Kostic, Hasebe...
Frankurt's great run was due to team work and a great coach

Alright alright, mabye I exagerated a bit there ^^'
Was more a top of the head thing then real research

So Frankfurt lost all of their front 3, that's gotta hurt. On the other hand they got around 150 million for those three, which they bought for a combined 16 million.

Also one of the most surprising things frankfurt did last season imo is that were not obnoxious as they usual were. In the past i didnt like the frankfurt teams at all but since adi huetter took over they are very sympathetic imo

I wonder how many teams have secret emergency spending plans in case some talent has unexpected breakthrough season and leaves for some 70 or 100 million right after. It seems to be happening often enough that it might be even worth planning.

So Icardi and Navas to PSG and, at least in Portugal, several interesting deals.

Mkhitaryan is loaned to Roma. He may have never consistently looked good for us, but hopefully he gets some playing time

Nah. I hate Miki. Ungrateful a'hole.
Frankfurt did play a lot better than ever before. Mostly because it was a team and not some singleplayers bunched together like in the years before. Still I don't expect too much from them this year but I guess somewhere between 4-8 in the league is okay'ish after losing so many players

Yay, another goalkeeper in Madrid. Meanwhile, when Casemiro is injured or needs rest, there is no one to replace him. 300 millions spent, no squad depth in the midfield. Well done.

Okay that should make things easier...
Neymar and Barcelona are set to meet in court, just three weeks after the club's failed bid to sign him from PSG, and with speculation already rife over whether the Camp Nou based outfit will attempt to land the Brazilian in the next winter or summer transfer window.
The player and club however will go head to head on 27 September at 10 in the morning in a court room in Barcelona, with Neymar suing Barcelona for 26 million euros, while Barcelona are suing Neymar for 75 million euros. Had the forward returned to the club that brought him from Brazil in 2013, it was expected that both actions would have been dropped, but with Neymar staying in Paris, the legal gloves remain off.
The case revolves around a 40 million euro bonus Neymar was to receive for signing a new contract with Barcelona just months before he left for Paris, paying (thanks to PSG) his buy-out clause of 222 million euros. Neymar had been paid 14 million of the bonus up front, with Barcelona withholding the other 26 million when he decided to leave. The player considers he's entitled to the full amount, plus interest at 10%.
Meanwhile Barcelona are counter-suing the player for 75 million euros for failure to honour his contract.
The court case has already been postponed twice. It was originally scheduled for 31 January 2019, but was postponed at the last minute, on 28 January. The next court date was arranged for 21 March, but was again postponed, when Neymar's lawyers refused to provide the player's contract with PSG in their documentation. The judge then moved the hearing 27 September. Among the witnesses cited to appear is none other than PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi, although he previously said he would refuse to give evidence.
Neymar is also not expected to attend in person, with just his lawyers being there to present his case. Meanwhile, the Spanish tax authorities will be paying close attention, keen to get any evidence they can over Neymar's time in Spain, and particularly if the Brazilian is about to receive a lucrative pay out.

I think they played the latest league match in a bit more 4-4-2 ish formation where you don't rely so much on dedicated DM. However, it's not like Real has too many good options for the more box-to-box kind of midfield duo either. Last game they had Kroos and Casemiro there and I'm not sure who they'd be running there if Casemiro sits out. Maybe Isco can play there, but after that we're looking at physical Modric or something like that.

It is not like if their Casemiro sub was sold to one of their main rival is the league.

With all that money involved, there must be someone somewhere with an excel spreadsheet of who's covering who if injury happens and who you can fit naturally into one starting lineup. But it sure doesn't look like that sometimes.

Speaking of Real Transfer Policy - Hows that Martin Odegaard kid doing - Didnt they loan him around the last few years? Wonder how he progressed. Probably not great if theres no noise? He should be like 19-20 by now yeah ? Wonder where hes at - I guess I should probably look it up.

Actually his development has been very good the last two seasons. He had one season at Heerenveen where his numbers weren't great, but his play was alright. Then last year he played for Vitesse, and he had a very good season. ('rating'-wise the best player outside a top 3 club in the eresdivisie). This season he plays for Real Sociedad and he's had a good start - good first game, scored a goal and man of the match game 2, not great game 3 (but the entire team was poor).
https://www.whoscored.com/Teams/68/Show/Spain-Real-Sociedad has him as the best player of the team after 3 games. Ødegaard isn't just a talented guy, he's really smart and professional too. Unless injuries happen I see him going really, really far.

If anyone needed further proof of sarris insanity: he neither nominated emre can (one of juves best players all season) nor mandzukic (one of the most hardworking players ever) for no reason at all

Yeah i have a stupidly hard time imagining any black player wanting to go play in Russia or Italy, makes no sense would never do it. You get abused online enough let alone in the stands by own fans so loudly and vividly every week. You get the odd one lately in the UK i agree but its hardly anything compared to those two countries its nuts.

Midfielders should be judged 2-4 years later then other positions. They can be older and still go while they need more technical and mental skills then a winger or a back.
