Only watched some iron man, spider-man, guardians and black panther. But, watched it today and found it enjoyable even w/ dodging half of the universe altogether, including infinity war.
+ Show Spoiler +But daaamn do I love fictional characters like the scarlet witch. I didn't know this character existed but managed to fall in love in less than 30 seconds during the grand fight sequence. ☑ badass cheesy meteor entrance ☑ stylish and sexy appearance/design ☑ super vengeful, semi crazed and idgaf-facial expressions/talking, clearly does not fuck around ☑ gravity/space manipulation, glowing magic fireballs, sweet red/white LED light aesthetics ☑ sick moveset/choreography ☑ beating the final boss so hard the movie script itself had to do divine intervention Read up more on the character's actual story after watching the movie. Browsed through previous movie clips on youtube (never mind the comics), and gotta say at a glance it's probably the coolest 'mage' character I've seen. Lots of heavy decisions throughout her (sad) story, and over-the-top magical moves that exaggerate her choices well. Very versatile, flashy, and hype for a magic type superhero. 😍 future action game superstar? plzi mean it's pretty ridiculous that there is no action game about this character<insert random fanboy comment> i don't even want Dante or Trish anymore just DMC SCARLET WITCH But, According to the Internet, this character gets benched all the time. Probably not too weird because she is simply too awesome and OP for her own good. Hopefully they'll manage to keep including her somehow in whatever. If she got her own movie I'd watch it 100% but who knows maybe this type of character is best in moderation. guess i'll go watch dr.strange or someeething ggmehhhhhhhhhhhhFanboying aside, the movie certainly didn't feel like 3 hours. But one probably has to be more invested in the universe as a whole to make it to "10/10 best thing ever" so hopefully a lot of people did just that.

A very good movie, 9.5/10.
+ Show Spoiler + I liked the warlord Thanos we got. Really shows how the journey of acquiring the Infinity Stones changed him. I do feel the carrier ship was a bit misused in the final fight. I mean, we've seen in Winter Soldier how the helicarriers could just acquire and take out millions of targets. Why wouldn't an ftl-capable warship have similar capabilities? I know the helicarriers had satellite support, but you would think a huge weapons platform towering over the battlefield would have better targeting systems. Or are humans that awesome?
Minor nitpicks aside, the movie was great. I loved the Captain's elevator scene and how Rumlow's face dropped. I liked Tony's death, considering how his movie was the first in the MCU; it made everything feel complete. Even the jokes felt not as cringy.

This makes no sense even in the other movie verses. + Show Spoiler + I don't really see why this bothers you? Let's say those got snapped were dead and therefore they can't have just aged 5 years. They are brought back
Overall a 8, I liked infinity war quite a bit better. But this has a lot of fan service that I think will make many fans scream. Lots of hype moment and because it's so well done, you can actually hear it.

+ Show Spoiler +Difference in aging is even possible in real life. Technically we're all doing it every time we get in a car or plane. Interstellar, as much as they conveniently skipped science wherever the plot demanded it, had that aging difference due to massive gravity from black holes pretty spot on.

Good movie but not great for me. I think if I were more invested in the movies I would have loved it given all the throw backs. Either way it's enjoyable enough I found I got my money's worth. Would rate it 7.5/10.
Ps - guy in front of me started audibly crying very loud during a particular scene. Wife started laughing so hard after he didn't stop for a solid 5 minutes.

+ Show Spoiler +totally content with it. Lots of emotional scenes for me, Peggy + Steve in her office, Howard + tony, Scott + Cassie, tbh the biggest hurdle is that for Peter Parker, did all of the relevant classmates of his just happen to also get snapped? Looking ahead rebuilding life as it was feels like a nightmare. TBD in the next films I guess
Mainly looking forward to Thor + guardians. I imagine Adam warlock will be relevant in the next film

That was extremely satisfying. Highlight moment was when a large group of twenty year old girls cheer out very loud at + Show Spoiler +the first moment when you can see the comet that is captain marvel charging the ship. They were ahead of the rest of the audience by about 10 seconds and it was dope.

Why not just fly it away, like cpt Marvel could just zoom to the other end of the galaxy with the glove. + Show Spoiler +They were trying to get it to the van on the other side of the field, they made a pretty big deal about showing that.
+ Show Spoiler +I remember them talking about the Van being there, but why time-travel with the glove at that moment? They could just fly it away from there, and annul Thanos' whole attack. Or Cpt Marvel could fly up into orbit and equip it.

I know taste and ratings are personal but I have an extremely hard time taking people serious labeling this one of the best movies of all time 😐

Best comic book movie easy. One of the best all time? Top 10 maybe and that depends on the genre.

Not even close to being the best comicbook movie. Logan takes that crown.
I just got back. I'd give it a solid 7/10. Finally seeing Thanos fight properly was badass. There was lots of general badassery but not many surprises. Maybe my score'll go up when I watch it back to back with infinity war but as a movie on its own I was just a little bit underwhelmed. It did everything it was supposed to and competently but I'm bored of scoring Marvel movies on their own scale just because its an ambitious project. + Show Spoiler +Captain Marvel added nothing but powers to this. Disappointing. Thor's arc continues to be one of the best things about Marvel, along with Nebula. Did they need to put every single character in there? I know its supposed to be cathartic and satisfying but it diluted the story elements in my opinion.
Sounds like I'm complaining alot but the action was as good as I've seen in Marvel movies and the ending was tightly written and wrapped everything up very neatly.

+ Show Spoiler +captain marvel being a deus ex machina would have been so much worse. She helped in the end fight, got a thanos battle, wasn’t enough. I’m content

there was this awkward moment, when all the super duper dudes charge together into the random alien army. everything looks fine and then you realize that the guys with metal super suits, ironman and friends, accompany the charging frontline in perfectly unison fashion, not gaining not losing position relative to them. Flying full speed at what a casual 20 - 35 km/h without having any of their thrusters facing downwards is a thing now. :D But really this just showed how hard they tried to equilize powerlevels which in turn made them completely irrelevant.
Don´t get me wrong tho. i dont have a problem with the stupid introduction of timetravel or super duper woman or the whole other shit they didnt really take seriously but i d have appreciated it if they would have put adherance to the rules of their universe before fanservice. This isn´t DBZ, the MCU is a multi Billion dollar project so someone could have handled this better.

Best comic book movie easy? What? Based on a saga or one book? I will say The Dark Knight (if you count this as it takes part of several comics) is far superior. At least for me. If you want to stay with Marvel even Infinity War is superior to me.
And of all time not based on genre I am sure it doesn't make top 10 for most ratings. Even within the MCU or general comic book movies most sites don't rate it first. As I said, I know it's based on personal preference but I really have a hard time with people making a point of it being so good. Had too many issues for me. Also (logically) parts ways with the comic saga by a mile.

I think that because you know the comic books you were bound to be biased against the movie. It's standard human psychology to prefer the "original" over copies.

I’m just happy Marvel has embraced weird Thor as best Thor. And it was a good, believable way to “nerf” him to a state where he seemed vulnerable after the last movie.

Fun movie, lots of fireworks.

Great movie. Definitely lived up to my expectations and they were set high.
First-half was my most favorite and the very end GotG scene + Thor was the best. All the fighting scenes was alright, just once you’ve seen one fight you’ve seen em all.
I’m hyped for Spider-Man now.
Also lol at the Captain Marvel scenes. Just how convenient.
