The dialogues were mostly curse words. Basically the whole plot and acting was bad. Even if you do like movies like this, personally i like them, you wont enjoy it. The movie was a mess.
The reason for the 80% rating is that it's an outrageously fun film. It's an extremely self-aware love letter to its genre (and subgenre), but made with a good budget. The production design is excellent, the sound design is absolutely breath takingly good, and it toes the fine line between an homage and a derivative copycat. The film knows precisely what it's trying to do, and pulls it off with honors. It's not subtle, it doesn't try to be. It's refreshing to see a self-contained, well-honed horror piece since the genre is so saturated.

There's no point in the film where it strives to be anything but this, so if you were expecting something else going in, you were probably disappointed. In my opinion the main conflict of Boyce vs Ford does bring some humanity into it, which makes it stand out on a narrative level, but mostly it's just well made, enjoyable piece of film making.

I strongly dissagree with what u said. Ive seen alot better films with lower budget i.e night of the living dead. The sound design is breathtaking? Have u seen a quiet place? That sound was breathtaking. Anyhow each to its own. I really wanted to enjoy the movie but didnt. I never expect anything after seeing reviews. People were bashing Venom in reviews but i found it enjoyable.

I wonder if America will ever get tired of Nazi bad guy movies and games. I guess it's been less than a century.

Hi everyone. The last movie I have seen was Predator and I really like it. Have anybody seen it?

Creed 2
I liked it a lot. It's slower paced than the previous movies and more focused on life and inner struggles. Wasn't as good as the first Creed but still has the old Rocky magic. Fun to see the return of Dolph Lundgren as Ivan Drago too. Fight scenes were excellent.
8/10

Patriots Day - excellent movie about the Boston Marathon Bombing. How they pieced together what happened and how they identified the bombers among thousands of people are logically explained. Then the manhunt started and all the memories came flooding back in for me as I remembered that day 5 years ago when I was in the area. The only thing they missed is Uncle Ruslan.

I am going to see Creed 2. You are right, it is so cool that we can see Dolph Lundger and Stalone as Rocky and Drago. Also I really like watching fights movies

Watched The Equalizer 2 and Incredible's 2 on the weekend and was left wanting a bit in both
+ Show Spoiler [Spoilers of both films] + Equalizer 2 had all the action i wanted, but just had a bit to much going on. I mean in the opening 20 minutes we had him save a child for a lady in a bookshop, then saved a random woman who had been drugged and raped. Then for him to spend time helping an old man get his sister/painting back and then help his neighbour out in Miles. Just seemed to focus to much on that side of the story instead of just being about Samuel L Jackson's character.
Incredibles 2 i just found the hole story just meh. The best parts for me seemed to be where the family had to try deal with real life some more and that is what it should have been based on. Not splitting them up with Elasta girl trying to promote good superheroes for a billionaire whilst the rest of them re adjust again to life without using powers at school and whatnot. Think they missed a big trick there just making the movie about that and then the world understanding why they need superheroes.
Oh well, they weren't terrible films, just not as good as they could be. Incredibles 2 defo a lot worst than Equalizer 2 though as Equalizer still is a great shoot em up action film with at least some form of story involved if you look hard enough!

You know of course that it was Denzel Washington and not Samuel L. Jackson in The Equalizer?

i agree, incredibles 2 was absolutely terrible, though i did have reasonably high expectations. when it finished i had felt like i just wasted my time, and i don’t come away from many movies that way.

Saw "A Stitch In Crime". Leonard Nimoy and Peter Falk were amazing in it. 8/10. Here is the climactic scene. + Show Spoiler +

And on the other hand, SLJ is in Incredibles 2!

Krampus - 2015
An enjoyable film in the vein of Gremlins, with some solid characters and amusing horror. Really creative monster design as well. It is going next to Die Hard in our yearly holiday movies. Watch with friends and enjoy the spirit of the holidays.
Also Gremlins is another good holiday movie.

Creed 2 gets a 2 out of 10. Nothing original there. Sometimes i felt the acting was bad. Unless you like seeing 2 very muscular men train then avoid

I saw it yesterday with my wife. As someone who loves Disney movies, I'm super pleased with having just watched the movie that has more Disney references (and an impressive amount of self-deprecating humor) than any other movie. Wreck-It Ralph 2: Ralph Breaks The Internet is not only an amazing sequel with tons of nostalgic video game references and characters, but also has a ton of amazing Disney tropes and *perfectly* satirizes literally everything about the internet, social media, and digital obsessions. It was surprisingly deep. Highly, highly recommend both Ralph 1 and 2.

i'm on a Columbo binge. i love how he traps people. so much misdirection in all of his communications. i love how he is constantly talking about all his flaws and deficiencies. He is basically staring at the murder suspect guy and saying "look man other than locking you up for the rest of your life..i'm basically useless"

On occasion I find myself rewatching Deadpool 2's parachute scene and ensuing carnage, it never gets old lol

I saw Mortal Engines yesterday. CGI was good but the movie overall felt dull. The actors were meh, the story also was meh.
+ Show Spoiler +only thing i liked about the movie was that Sraik dude who looked like the terminator and the asian karate woman who was kicking ass kinda reminded me of matrix with her black glasses and still after a while they both got boring.
5/10

Not sure how they could make Mortal Engines dull. I loved those books as a kid. So much happens, they’re super fast paced.
