Friend and I skipped the whole intro questline and garrison building, too painful to go through again for some exp pots
I just upgraded the heirlooms that gave exp with gold, faster to sell a boost to afford that than to get the extra levels without 'em

Wasn't that a big thing in WoD, you would like, get 99% in all the bonus objectives in a zone, pop an xp pot, and just fly to a bunch of treasure chests + finish off the bonus objective, and you would get an entire level in 15 minutes (although it was probably like 30-60 minutes of prep)

Take a big xp boost potion (300% for 15min) and go from 93 to 100 in that time. Those potions can no longer be obtained however, tho some may still be on the AH. www.wowhead.com

You can get it from timewalk badges but apart from that I am sure 40k is still easily worth it. 40k is earned in maybe 2 hours at max level and this will save you way more than 2 hours.
Mind sharing some strats for that too?
The reason I'm leveling all these alts is so that I can get a steady income from Order Hall missions through the companion app, which is very low effort for decent gains. The toon I'm leveling from lvl 1 would be my 4th maxed char and with 4 I should be able to afford my sub each month quite easily.
Other potential ways of making big money are boosting, but I'm not quite at the level yet. Also playing the AH but again, a bit too new to the game to do that.
I'm herbalist/alchemist, previously I made a stack of flasks to sell on the AH but it took me too long to gather the required starlight rose for what was only 4K worth of flasks...
I guess I should change profession to something more profitable?

Herbalism is fairly profitable as far as farming professions go, on my realm anyway. You'll just need to learn routes for the valuable herbs and then get a sky golem or play a druid.
I like skinning because of how many BoS it provides though (especially with the shoulder enchant). Skinning is far from as profitable as it was when legion launched but there's still good money in for example farming falcosaurs (remember the legion enchant for increased skin speed). Infact i used to run Skinning/Enchanting because that way i can turn stuff that drops into mats to sell as well and then every now and then i drop enchanting for alchemy and then spend all my BoS crafting PoPP, it was very profitable though i don't know how profitable is is now, or on your realm for that matter.
Anyway, if you're looking to make gold, take a peek here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1IUHr2bvbFhqPsO3BAGdeAmat5EywVW_UYdzLw2BYHX8/edit#heading=h.w7lbw2srcscg
I personally like shuffling and obliterating. It's fairly low effort and just requires knowing your realm's market and prices (and a few addons like ones to making obliterating easier/faster).

Alchemy you can make prolonged power and your own flasks hold longer. Enchanting seems good to me judging from my AH prices, did not do that myself tho. Herbalism is still pretty good although prices have been dropping a lot over the expansion. Gathering roses is terrible now. For me Fjarnskaggl is best, have been at 1000-1500/h which is 20-30k. It is boring though and you end up pushing prices down if you farm and sell too much. Which is why in the end it is probably best to do a mix of things and only farm occasionally.

I make like 600k-1m each week for tanking argus hc for 3 hours.

There's a quest you can pick up at the heirloom vendor to get draenic coins from doing your daily heroic, that lets you get some upgrade tokens for heirlooms too

I'm like 930 ilvl now with 2 leggos on and a 793 relic. Being punished for my insistence on only buying argonite trinkets since 910+ relics are way more replacable than cof/arcano

Took a month and a half for me to reach 971, though I was carried hard by my Wildstar buddies.
Got my 13th out of 14 possible Frost DK legendaries yesterday, and of course the 1 remaining legendary is BiS, I understand why people hate this system.

Still annoying now, used to be waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay worse in all kinds of ways

I have like 6 now on my Frost DK. Cold Heart ftw but the rest are not great, tho I admit its probably close between insignia of thw grand army and a couple of them. Sitting at about 935.
Basically a standstill with no guild as it is very hard to even get into antorus normals as a dps. I still am overly anxious about doing mythics and seem to be much more nervous when I do one vs raiding so been taking it very slow and have only done aa high as 8.
At least I was able to abuse how much easier it is to find groups willing to take you if you heal and shot my shaman up like 30 ilvls this week lool.

my DH has gotten 3 druid legendary tokens alone, the fuck?
I get that they have 4 specs, but I literally have every other class at 110 plz

My war is reaching a similar level, 3 legendaries but they rolled pretty well and a few more soon, 930 bag. At this point i think the best thing to do is be in a guild and/or form your own groups and spam m+ - that way it should be easy to get to 950-960ish bag from m15's

Argus missions that award Blood of Sargeras now cost 600 more Order Hall Resources.
Money nerf right there :D

So I decided to try out the tank Mage Tower on my Druid since I figured having 0 tanking experience could be made up with 921~ gear and not terrible play, but holy shit is that Mage Tower a clusterfuck of "whoops sorry you slipped up once whole, too bad." mechanics.
This is probably one of the most obnoxiously designed encounters I've ever... encountered. What a Kruul experience.
Finished it, but man, the healing challenge feels so much... fairer.

Same here. I am down to last 2 for assa rogue and I am missing the boots =/.
I am expecting to not get them on my next one and it will be my last one I have to do.
edit: This is also the 7777 reply. Lucky 7s

I've been using LegendaryProgressTracker recently, it seems good. Automates a bunch of data recording that i was already doing with more detail than i could be bothered with at least and it seems to have quite accurate numbers for the droprates
|
Yeah that's what i used. As soon as the app reported 60+% bad luck protection I queued for legion LFRs and usually got my drop the same day.
