The situation for Team 2 looked dire, however, their saving grace was an unchecked protoss, v1 and their zerg AllAndArITY still had a decent economy going. Above all, bioboyAT was recovering well enough from our first assault which opened up the possibility of a comeback if they played their cards right!

Intotherainbow- an influential protoss player in BW and played terran in SCII under HopeTorture. The guy who fought and lost to Fruitdealer in GSL Open Season 1 if that helps jog the memory of SCII fans. Liquipedia provides a lot of details on his BW background for anyone who is interested.
2Pacalypse- one of the programmers of shieldbattery who has given frequently to TL in the past and still is in the present. Also, was B in the past, plays protoss and is considered an expert in PvP warfare on hunters/BGH from what I hear.
Bigfan- myself, a D rank terran player who hasn't played a team game since 2000-01? My history only saw me play lots of vs AI games on fastest map possible after a very small and forgettable stint trying 1v1 and team games (hunters/BGH).
v1- an Estonian protoss player who claims that he was B in the old days. Also, the guy who gets bugged frequently by yours truly for cool gfx for all of the BW articles in recent years. Watch out for this guy!
bioboyAT- our "super foreigner gosu" zerg player, a nickname given to him by Intotherainbow after bio fought extremely well against rainbow in ZvP and even took their last 1v1 game! Claims that he want B in the old days as well.
AllAndArITY- one of the players who joined our game for the evening. He played as zerg and seemed to have decent understanding of BW and how to play team games so I can only presume he was a valuable asset to his team.

Game ended up being a 3v3 on Hunters (see map above for spawn positions).
Team #1:
- Intotherainbow
- 2Pacalypse-
- Bigfan
Team #2:
- v1
- bioboyAT
- AllAndArITY
While 2Pacalypse- was launching an assault on AllAndArITY's spire, Rainbow continued his own assault on bioboyAT which forced v1 into a defensive stance. This in turn helped us to isolate v1's army from his base.
Using this opportunity, 2Pacalypse- went for an attack on v1's base while AllAndArITY saw his an opening and attacked 2Pacalypse-'s base at around the same time. 2Pacalypse-'s attack wasn't unable to cause as much damage as he hoped but AllAndArITY scored some drone kills before retreating.
Feeling that it was finally time, our fearless leader, Rainbow ordered 'the' attack on AllAndArITY's base. An all out assault meant to kill, rather than just cripple. And so, it began.
My own task was to hold outside bioboyAT's base and delay their army advances using my paltry forces while 2Pacalypse- and Rainbow got the job done. It was a task that I welcomed! Realizing their bad situation, v1 and bioboyAT combined their own forces for an assault on my base. An eye for an eye, base for a base and an ally for an enemy. A good strategy that was implemented on the fly but failed in the end:
Having just finished off one of their allies, Team 1's victory seemed all but secure. Despite their predicament, Team 2's determination never waned. v1 decided to expand all the while bringing out the strongest and most imba unit in the protoss arsenal. Rainbow kept trying to put up the pressure until even he was forced to retreat:
IMBA... IMBA... IMBA...
Our lack of detection came back to haunt us. No observers out, only several overlords spread around the map and not a single scan in sight due to having to scan in my own main for a pesky dark templar that STILL managed to escape and hide in the shadows!
We were even getting pushed back in and around bioboyAT's base! v1 continued strengthening his economy and saturated his expansion while we were all on a single base, trying to contend with the dark templar threat.
Regardless, we continued our assault. A ling attack on v1's expansion failed greatly and 2Pacalypse- retreated while our leader felt it necessary to use force to try and get 2Pacalypse- to move his overlord. We must've looked like progamers to him with our crisp macro and micro!
With an overlord now in place, both Rainbow and 2Pacalypse- grabbed an expansion as they pushed into bioboyAT's base. Much like last time, I blocked off the path that v1 must take to get to bioboyAT and with a bit of help, drove away v1's forces. v1 himself decided to take a third hidden expansion realizing what was about to go down and went for an attack on 2pac's expansion with little luck:
Unable to do much, he tried his luck again but was turned back almost immediately by a large mnm group while his remaining ally was getting slaughtered. The only bright side of this whole situation was his third base was up and running by now. It was also still unscouted at this point.
And he would've gotten away with it too if it wasn't for the pesky ling that 2Pacalypse- sent in to scout around. After being put in a bad position where he had to defend his third against my own forces, v1 found his army squeezed between two armies, that of mine and Rainbow! All good things must come to an end, I suppose.
Back on a 2 base economy and up against 3 rather large armies made up of all three races in the game, v1 made a brave last stand. Alas, with his high templars sniped by 2Pacalypse-'s mutalisks, his defeat was more certain than ever. After all, one player can only do so much:
Hope you guys enjoyed it. Apologies for no mini-map context. Most of the game was played while we were all on one base and it was only towards the last half or so that several of us expanded along the usual expansion path. As long as you keep the spawn positions in mind, you should be able to make out where the attacks took place from that as well as the descriptions and pictures provided.
