Although I bet whoever wins between him and Classic will likely lose in their SSL match later than day.

Of course you're right - I didn't even check, it was more about the irony of gloriously wininng the group of death, only to fall to something stupid like herO's play.

TvT leaves a lot to chance though, so there's no telling what happens next week.

Also I must say, in the 1st game TY just messed up. He got out a hellion and proceeded to lose it to 2 red HP reapers (as in red HP when the hellion came out) without killing either of them. Doesn't matter who micros the reapers, that's inexcusable.

Though i kinda think he shouldn't have gged there, it was still winnable? You can outmicro grenades with a hellion. He just did a poor job. There's no excuse for the hellion to kill neither of them. Keep in mind TY didn't have all the info. He was gonna have to cancel his natural, and for all he knows, there could already be a natural CC almost done for ByuN, the raxes halfway home and a starport under construction. Perhaps even a 3rd CC. He didn't even know where ByuN had spawned to potentially send a liberator for harass once his own starport was done. It's the exact same position TY put Maru in on Whirlwind in the WESG finals, and that game was a crushing victory for TY. It's a huge deficit and you need your opponent to make a pretty big mistake to be able to catch up. The GG seemed really early, but it honestly made sense. What doesn't make sense is that he didn't proceed to play safer on smaller maps.

He already started another cc and the tech wasn't bad either. Having the high ground there and a hellion out, i think it would have made sense to try it at least. Dunno

Dunno Well like I said, he was on the opposite side of this scenario before. I'm sure he was on this side more than he'd like to admit. He knows what's possible for ByuN to have or not have. His tech wasn't bad at the time, but his starport would have barely finished before ByuN's. Without even knowing where ByuN spawned on a 4-player map, he couldn't have had much hope to get any use out of the tech he had. He also hadn't started another CC at all, the one in the production tab at the end of the game was the old one on the low ground that wasn't building. Sure, there's no way ByuN's going to kill him right now. But give it a few minutes and he'll be massively ahead if he plays properly. We can see that ByuN didn't start a CC, didn't float his barracks home, made extra reapers instead of a starport, got supply blocked, spawned on cross and had no anti-air (meaning a liberator would have rekt his shit). If TY has all that info, he might stay in the game a bit longer. But I can't say I blame him for leaving after losing 8 SCVs, a bunch of poorly rallied army units, and being forced to cancel his natural all without ever knowing where ByuN even spawned. I can only blame him for not playing safe, not scouting, not microing properly and misrallying his units
