I'm fairly sure BronzeKnee only posts to complain. Probably isn't capable of saying something positive about SC2.

edit: TB and avilo are the perfect examples of what you should do to support SC2, and what you should *not* do to support it.. like two ends of the spectrum

"Faceless korean" was/is a language problem, foreign players oftentimes aren't that extroverted either But yeah it's too late now probably :/ Great to hear that shoutcraft is doing well though, something very enjoyable and great for the scene. Thanks for the interview! The "faceless Korean" phenomenon is mostly due to jingoism. For some reason, foreign fans didn't have much of a problem with KeSPA players during Brood War in the ~5-6 years where there was at most IdrA, ret, and NonY in Korea. Suddenly in SC2, it becomes a problem and both Blizzard and nationalist fans want to push local 2nd rate professionals into the limelight, then when that player gets whooped by a seasoned Korean the storyline backfires and "faceless Korean" just whooped your nation's hero. "Faceless Korean" deserves more credit, but he won't get it because he took out BelgiumTerran#3. Agreed, no one cared in BW. I have to wonder if it's to do with SC2's younger audience?

Noone cared in BW because it was korean focused to begin with. Sc2 tried to make it global and succeeded with that. It's only natural that a less hardcore audience then is more inclined to care for content it can understand. Nothing racist about this at all. The sc2 scene failed to build the players though. I mean Polt is one of the biggest fan favorites despite being a non foreigner, it's simply his attempt to be more accessible for foreign fans which worked out. You cannot care for a story if you aren't able to understand it (language barrier / not enough focus to tell it). But this criticism isn't even only about korean players tbh, foreign ones also weren't good at creating hype all that much. There were exceptions (EG was pretty dope, Stephano, Idra, HuK etc) but other than that there wasn't a lot of focus on trying to build star players either. People care for that kind of stuff though, at some point the game quality doesn't matter at all, it's all about following players/teams

Great point, what TB does is find the crappiest game company with the stupidest employees and the most horrible internal processes and then he supports the games they make with countless hours of content. This way TB can waste his life supporting and being immersed in total garbage. ok man, whatever. TB thinks Blizzard and SC2 are great and he puts his time and resources behind it. His actions speak louder than your words. I pretty much subscribe to TB's views on Blizzard and SC2. Again though, his actions speak louder than my words. All I can do is buy Blizzard's games.
