What was the feature you liked most about TSL?
I loved the intro, I thought it was very professionally done and really felt appropriate for a Starcraft league.
What areas needed improvement in the tournament?
My only real problem were those few instances were the stream died. It always seemed to happen at a point where the hype was really starting to build up. If you guys can eliminate those problems it will be a much better experience overall.
What did you think about the Razer TSL website? Did you use it much?
I used it to get to TSLD a couple of times, since there was no link (at least that I could see) on the front page. I was using the embedded stream at first as well but then switched over to GOM player since it made it easier to browse/chat while watching.
Did you use TSLD at all?
Yes! It was very helpful when trying to decide who to pick for liquidbet. As more games get added its usefulness will only grow, so I imagine it will be immensely helpful in the future. Good job on this one!
Rank your top three commentary teams
I don't think any commentary team came close to the duo of Artosis and Chill. If I had to add two more they would be the Artosis/Day9 team (if he fixes his mic problems then they could be great as well) and the Artosis/Chill/Manifesto trio.
What was the most iconic moment of the Razer TSL? (ie what will you remember this tournament by in years to come)
Game 4 of the Finals. I was rooting for JF and when he pulled off those reaver drops on the main I was cheering at the top of my lungs. My neighbors thought I was nuts!
Any further comments about the tournament you would like to make?
Overall you guys did a fantastic job with all of this. I will definitely be looking forward to Season 2!

What was the feature you liked most about TSL? All the energy put into this tournament and quick uploads to youtube.
What areas needed improvement in the tournament? Can't think of any. It's close to perfection.
What did you think about the Razer TSL website? Did you use it much? It looks pretty cool, but I didn't use it much. However, I have a good impression of Razer now because of their commitment to sponsoring this TSL.
Did you use TSLD at all? Nope.
Rank your top three commentary teams Just Chill/Artosis. No other teams stood out.
What was the most iconic moment of the Razer TSL? (ie what will you remember this tournament by in years to come) JF beating Draco 3-2 with reavers when he was down 0-2. Brat_OK beating Dreiven 3-0.
Any further comments about the tournament you would like to make? I hope there are many more TSLs in the future!

What was the feature you liked most about TSL? The games being broadcast, really. It seems simple, but the way it emulated the Korean professional broadcasts was great. The admins did a great job running the league and handling the various situations that came up, especially that which involved MisterZ. Games were always on schedule.
What areas needed improvement in the tournament? Commentary teams need to act more like commentary teams, rather than just two analysts taking turns talking about the game. Even the best team (Artosis/Chill) was guilty of this. Also, no one should ever be casting a game when they're lagging to a point that it impedes the broadcast (Vaul), or with a microphone that provides poor quality speech (Day). The mic problem was particularly bad; it seems very unprofessional to an outsider when you can't even understand one of the commentators half of the time.
What did you think about the Razer TSL website? Did you use it much? Didn't use it much at all, no particularly valuable information that couldn't be found on teamliquid.net and the brackets there were ugly.
Did you use TSLD at all? Rarely, and I thought it was under promoted.
Rank your top three commentary teams 1. Artosis, Chill 2. Artosis, Day None of the others really compare. Day was pretty good once he finally got his microphone fixed but his tendency to interrupt Artosis with his exclamations was not cool. Artosis and Chill were easily the best duo and I found myself wishing they had casted all of the games. What was the most iconic moment of the Razer TSL? (ie what will you remember this tournament by in years to come) Jianfei's 0-2 comeback in the finals obviously, but for a singular moment, it'd probably be Dinot's slow overlord drop versus Jianfei in the quarter finals.
Any further comments about the tournament you would like to make? It was amazingly cool to see this happen, and I really hope you guys are able to procure the funds needed to continue with it.

What was the feature you liked most about TSL?
Definitely IRC for me, just having someone to converse with makes the game all the more interesting
What areas needed improvement in the tournament? The stream , of course, but with over (what was it 1000 viewers at one point?) I'm not surprised it keep falling at some times.
What did you think about the Razer TSL website? Did you use it much?
It was great. Yes i did Did you use TSLD at all?
Yes, but only in the latter stages of the game
Rank your top three commentary teams
I haven't a clue what their names are xD However, I'd like to thank all of them, they did everything short of strip naked ; to try and keep us entertained
What was the most iconic moment of the Razer TSL? (ie what will you remember this tournament by in years to come) + Show Spoiler + When Drevien 3-0'd mondragon LOL
Any further comments about the tournament you would like to make?
Thanks to each and every one of the TSL staff and admins, we couldn't have had this coverage of excitement without you guys. May TSL 2.0 be the just the same, or even better! Heres to the future.

I think the points in the TSL elo shouldn't degrade so fast because players have much less opportunity to earn points than in most situations where you'd use elo.
What was the most iconic moment of the Razer TSL?
It's show time! and the rest of the rise against intro video.

What was the feature you liked most about TSL? The very simple: having foreigners play in a starleague. Sure, Koreans are better players but I can connect more to the foreigners, especially the foreign terrans and the americans (as I'm an american). I'm half hungarian but there weren't much hungarians to really cheer for so i didn't have that opportunity... It's the sense of having "our" event as opposed to being on the outside looking in at the koreans. Without TSL, foreigner SC is like not being let into the party that everyone wants into, but only the "cool kids" can go to. We're stuck outside the door and we can hear the music and wish we were there but not much else. TSL changes that completely.
What areas needed improvement in the tournament? Minor gripe: make the ingame sound a little louder. either make the ingame music louder or quieter. if it's louder i can actually sort of hear it / it adds to the tension. if it's gone i can put on my own music. if i only get this very muted but still there thing i can't put on music that i want to listen to during it and it doesn't add anything either. it just plain sucks.
What did you think about the Razer TSL website? Did you use it much? Nah, the stream there didn't work at first and the place was slow so I just gave up on it and kept using gomplayer.
Did you use TSLD at all? Yes, actually. I will probably use it more in the future though with more TSLs.
Rank your top three commentary teams 1. artosis + chill 2. chill and artosis 3. artosis & chill
What was the most iconic moment of the Razer TSL? (ie what will you remember this tournament by in years to come) I'm not sure so i'll list a few: - JF drops reaver and kills a few probes on zodiac and then fires a second scarab and it just rapes like 25092509302 probes and Chill says "oh my god OH MY GOD" - IdrA losing. I want to see IdrA win TSL2 - Brat losing, he's my backup after idra. - SCT-HorroR in the earlier (not commentated) stages with his wraith TvZ on blue storm
Any further comments about the tournament you would like to make? What happened about the really vague talk about ESPN early on? anyway, I love TSL, and I love all the players, even the dirty protosses.

What was the feature you liked most about TSL? Video Coverage, Interviews
What areas needed improvement in the tournament? Live video coverage would be even more exciting, but replays were not bad, i think despite the missing gg in the end, many people didn't even notice the difference. The few minor technical problems that occured should be fixed, but compared to the length of the cast, it was running very well. So all in all i don't really need improvements, i liked it very much.
What did you think about the Razer TSL website? Did you use it much? No, i found everything on teamliquid.net
Did you use TSLD at all? no sorry
Rank your top three commentary teams Chill/Artosis Chill/Day9 was there an Artosis/Day9 combo? i would like that as well.
What was the most iconic moment of the Razer TSL? (ie what will you remember this tournament by in years to come) Mondragon out in ro16. Brat_OKs performance JFs comeback from 0-2
Any further comments about the tournament you would like to make? Thank you Team Liquid and Razer.

What was the feature you liked most about TSL? I enjoyed the games every weekend. It's one of those things that gives one something to look forward to seeing. It helped make the week go by faster as well.
What areas needed improvement in the tournament? I think it'd be great if Chinese players were somehow able to be included, though unfortuntely, it seems the lag is not really able to be overcome =/. I think it'd add to the quality of the games and thus the excitement. Other than that and the occasional technical difficulty, I loved everything.
What did you think about the Razer TSL website? Did you use it much? To be honest, I didn't think there was anything worthwhile there that wasn't on TL =/ I only used it to get the VLC link at 4:30 every week as I don't like the embedded WMP...
Did you use TSLD at all? No, but I might in the future to track down vods, stats.
Rank your top three commentary teams 1.) Artosis Chill. They had time to get used to each other and developed really good chemistry. Great duo. 2.) Chill/Day9 Excellent quality of analysis, but some things weren't quite as good with this team. This probably could've been worked out with more time together and with time to gain some chemistry. 3.) The one with Vaul. I liked it, but it's a bit too bad Vaul's lag is too bad =/
What was the most iconic moment of the Razer TSL? (ie what will you remember this tournament by in years to come) JF's comeback from 0-2 and Dreiven showing Mondragon to have human ZvP... (yes, I'm cheating and using two moments :p)
Any further comments about the tournament you would like to make? Great job guys, and I hope there's a TSL 2!

What was the feature you liked most about TSL? The whole live replay and commentating thing is awesome. Being a live replay has one advantage over live stream in that if there were any technical difficulties, and it happened, you can just pause the replay. Of course had it been a live stream you could also do that but it wouldn't be as good.
What areas needed improvement in the tournament? I don't know
What did you think about the Razer TSL website? Did you use it much? I only used it to link other people to so they can watch the embedded player.
Did you use TSLD at all? A little bit
Rank your top three commentary teams No clue
What was the most iconic moment of the Razer TSL? (ie what will you remember this tournament by in years to come) IRC spams
Any further comments about the tournament you would like to make? It was great, a huge success, gj TLnet.

What was the feature you liked most about TSL? I loved the 640x480 stream, no lag whatsoever and great quality! Only a few minor hiccups. I also liked being able to download games I missed right away, in the same great quality. All the rep packs were also nice.
What areas needed improvement in the tournament? The in game sound is too low. Compare it to the MSL or OSL games. Sometimes the commentators' volumes relative to eachother was too off. Also I appreciate when the commentators raise their voices at exciting moments, but not to the point where there is distortion.
What did you think about the Razer TSL website? Did you use it much? It was ok, didn't use it much.
Did you use TSLD at all? I did look at the stats for all top 16 players at least once, but besides that no.
Rank your top three commentary teams 1. Artosis, Chill 2. Artosis, Day
What was the most iconic moment of the Razer TSL? (ie what will you remember this tournament by in years to come) Mondi losing DinOt's slow drop Brat_OK's play Finals were exciting
Any further comments about the tournament you would like to make? Overall everything was done very well and exceeded my expectations.

What was the feature you liked most about TSL?
Overall organization. Overall effort was quite good.
What areas needed improvement in the tournament?
Bad speaking habits of the commentators:
They seemed to constantly say Commentator 1: "it's going to be interesting to see if [x]" Commentator 2: "yeah, [y] Also I didn't like that they seemed to get way too excited every time psionic storm was cast. Lastly, they spent a bit too much time describing what was obviously happening on the screen. (e.g., "and now he's bringing his army south a bit....")
The effort level of the commentators was good, I'd just like them to try to avoid the above.
What did you think about the Razer TSL website? Did you use it much?
It looked ok, and I did look at the bracket thing a few times, but other than that I didn't use it much.
Did you use TSLD at all?
No. I hardly knew it existed.
Rank your top three commentary teams
Can't really remember clearly any teams other than Artosis & Chill, and they did a fairly good job.
What was the most iconic moment of the Razer TSL? (ie what will you remember this tournament by in years to come)
JF coming back from 0-2.
Any further comments about the tournament you would like to make?
Maybe see if Klazart could try commentating.

What was the feature you liked most about TSL? -video streaming which were absolutely perfect! zero lag, zero buffers, zero connection time, i'd like to say it was better than daum pot player or gom players, which all have so many annoying errors, but tsl streaming had ZERO errors.
What areas needed improvement in the tournament? -I really liked the interviews, but I would like to hear the interviews, not read them typed out. -I really did not like the timing of the tournament, as it conflicted with my final exam schedule..I wish it were to happen during the summer, or the winter vacation, or just not during april or december...
What did you think about the Razer TSL website? Did you use it much? -I think i used it for watching the videos, other than that, I didn't find it too special, I just used the TSL forum section from TL
Did you use TSLD at all? no..what is this?
Rank your top three commentary teams Chill, Artosis, and Manifesto
What was the most iconic moment of the Razer TSL? (ie what will you remember this tournament by in years to come) Mondragon being shut down by dreiven, Mistrzzz getting knocked out of his group, and JF taking 1st.
Any further comments about the tournament you would like to make? -Please make TSL2 (if it does happen) during summer so I can qualify by massgaming !!!

What areas needed improvement in the tournament?
You guys should make razer build a stage for the finalists to play and broadcasted over the internet so we can see the players play live like in korea.
you guys should also make something like a liquibet competition for prizes for the spectators.
Any further comments about the tournament you would like to make?

What was the feature you liked most about TSL?
What I liked
- The coverage, especially the streams with commentaries, and the Korea-style mineral/gas ticker for the players.
- The prize money.
- The ladder into tournament concept.
- The commentary competition in the early group stages/ladder.
- The artwork, the intro videos and the pre-game player screens/map overviews. Especially the intro video!
Why I liked it The prize money ensured quality games and gamers, and the coverage delivered those games the the public eye. I really like the concept of ladder to tournament, I believe it's fair. I was incredibly impressed with the technical quality of the streams, flawless 98% of the time, not a hitch to be detected. The casting times were excellent (I'm in Norway). And the commentators, of course!
What areas needed improvement in the tournament?
- Commentary quality.
- The coverage, streams/commentaries aside.
Far be it from me to suggest that the quality of the commentary was low. Because it wasn't. It was very good. But the problem was that it was more RWA-ish than sports game-ish. This issue has been pointed out before. I want more excitement. More raised voices. More heated debates between the commentators interrupted by deadly reaver drops, tank pushes or crackling assaults which settles the argument one way or another. All of this was pointed out by never_toss in this thread, and I agree 100% with him. Also it would be nice to avoid the contant pointing out of the obvious (i.e. what's happening on the screen).
The coverage aside from the streams etc was nice, but compared to the VODs they were kinda meh. Especially the interviews. Nice, but... *shrug* Sorry
What did you think about the Razer TSL website? Did you use it much?
I made a point out of going there frequently, not because I had to (because all I needed was the timer on TL.net), but because I wanted to contribute to the hits. I didn't use it for anything, except the one time I streamed via browser. The brackets there were really confusing and finding information about the current/overall status of the tournament could be nigh impossible for anyone not familiar with TL.net procedure.
No. I don't post on the forums much, and I don't Liquibet or Gosubet. All the statistics I needed were put in front of me pre-game.
Rank your top three commentary teams I liked Artosis and Chill for their insight and humor. I think I heard Day there once? He was really good on the insight-part. Manifesto's voice was, well, manly. I can't really remember anyone else... I remember the voices but not their nicks. If I could choose, I'd choose Artosis/Chill if they work on the emotional side of commentating. But I also feel it's kind of unfair, because they contributed sooooo much and got very little in return. They did a fantastic job!!! But I want more.
What was the most iconic moment of the Razer TSL? (ie what will you remember this tournament by in years to come)
When I realized JF was winning game 3 and somehow understood this meant that everything was changing. I can't remember the map, but I have an image of JF breaking into the walled natural of Draco with goons and reavers as it was made of cardboard. Don't know if that was game 3, but that was it.
Any further comments about the tournament you would like to make?
Ideas:
- More behind the scenes
- First person VODs (with commentaries, drool) if at all possible.
- Group seeds and group pickings a la OSL
- PLEASE MAKE TSL2 SOON!!!
Final words: It's an online tournament and it's nothing short of utterly amazing how well the tournament was run all in all. A few hiccups sure, some drama, but hey, that's life. You guys did a fantastic job. Thank you for giving us such a gift.

What was the feature you liked most about TSL? The media and artwork. Made it look really professional, without it, this tournament would have been alot less professional looking.
What areas needed improvement in the tournament?
Commentaries, still, the single best matchup of the entire TSL was Draco vs Nony, simply beacuse the commentators were just on top of things, Day and Artosis delivered alot of emotions and insight during these matches that made them even more entertaining to watch
What did you think about the Razer TSL website? Did you use it much?
It was good, but it didnt really offer that much that wasnt already on tl.net
Did you use TSLD at all? once or twice to check stats.
Rank your top three commentary teams Day/Artosis Artosis/Chill Day/Chill
What was the most iconic moment of the Razer TSL? (ie what will you remember this tournament by in years to come) Edit: Actually Idra getting stomped by White_Ra, i did not see that coming. Quite chocked how easy he won those games.

What was the feature you liked most about TSL?
I felt the qualifying stages were really fun. Since everyone could participate, including bad players like me, it made me feel like I was part of the tournament as well, even though I ofcourse knew I had no chance of ever actually making it.
The best part for me however were the casts every saturday and sunday. The quality of them was excellent and when one of the players I was rooting for was playing I found myself cheering for them out loud at times (JF, ret and Brat).
What areas needed improvement in the tournament?
Small things. The delay at the start a lot of the time. I know it is hard to fix, but when something is supposed to start at 10 (CET) and I put in effort to be home then only to find out that it has been delayed for 10-20 minutes is annoying.
Ofcourse the crashes, but that is something everyone realizes and I found them not really annoying.
Some time in between every 3-4 matches (perhaps a commercial from the sponser and stuff) to get something to drink, some chips, go to the bathroom etc. Especially early in the tournament when a lot of matches were played I found myself watching starcraft from 10 (CET) till perhaps 2 in the morning without any real pauses in them.
Chinese players. It don't know if it possible, but I think they can take the level of play in the tournament to a new level.
More coverage on the TSL on diffirent multigaming websites to get more viewers. I can't remember I read anything about the TSL on sites likes SKgaming.com that follow a lot of diffirent esports (perhaps I missed it?). If you could reach out to them and get them involved I feel this could get a lot bigger.
What did you think about the Razer TSL website? Did you use it much?
I used it to watch the stream, but for nothing else. Everything else could be found on the teamliquid site anyway.
Did you use TSLD at all?
Yes, but mostly just to see how well it was made. Perhaps this was because I had been following the tournament from the beginning and vods were released. I use TLPD mostly when I am unsure of a liquibet or to watch youtube vods on certain matches.
Rank your top three commentary teams
Chill/Artosis Day[9]/Artosis Chill/Day[9]
What was the most iconic moment of the Razer TSL? (ie what will you remember this tournament by in years to come)
The final, without a doubt. JF had to get me my mousepad and he did.
Any further comments about the tournament you would like to make?[/QUOTE]
Besides all the obvious like how you did a great job, can't wait for season 2 etc. I believe one of the great things in tournaments is always the group selection. I don't even know how you would organize such a thing, but looking at what you did already a group selection might also be possible. This would create some more e-drama (of which we can't have enough!), proffesionalism and would just be huge fun.

What was the feature you liked most about TSL?
- Definitely the stream. It didn't crash, there was no lag at all and it was done so professionally.
What areas needed improvement in the tournament?[/i]
- I found the abrupt ending to be really weird. When the final games were over I was expecting some deep analysis of the games, probably a video with the best scenes of the TSL so far and a live audio interview with the winner would have been great as well.
- The qualifying stage deserved a video stream as well. Obviously you can't cast all of the games, but I would have loved to see some of them. The audiostream just didn't do it.
What did you think about the Razer TSL website? Did you use it much?
- I used it, but only occasionally. As a regular visitor of tl.net, that site was kinda useless for me. It deserves to exist tho, because non-tlneters have all they need at one place.
Did you use TSLD at all?
- I did, once. I checked the pvp stats of JF and Draco to see if JF also statistically was a PvP monster. I guess I'm pretty much the only one who did so, tho.
Rank your top three commentary teams
1. Chill & Artosis (amazing team) 2. Artosis & Manifesto7 (I'm not sure if this combo ever commentated, but I enjoyed Artosis so much and was heavily impressed with Mani's knowledge. I thought he was a newbie before :D) 3. Artosis & Day[9] (his mic killed his performance. He's such a great player and I'm sure if the audio quality wasn't that bad, he would have been a huge benefit to the commentating. Give him another chance plz)
What was the most iconic moment of the Razer TSL? (ie what will you remember this tournament by in years to come)
Do I have to name one?
- When I first saw that beautiful probe doing it's job I felt all warm and fuzzy inside. In that moment, I knew this was going to be a huge thing. I was actually feeling proud, because I've been a long time member of this site and it got so far as to hosting it's own professionally done starleague.
- JF's comeback was sooo orgasmic. Before the ro16 I was having an argument with a friend of mine. He said Draco was going to win this, while I was absolutely sure of JF taking it. It was funny when those two actually met in the finals. When JF was down 0-2, I thought that friend wouldn't stop rubbing the 0-3 in my face for the next 2 weeks, but then... what a comeback!
Any further comments about the tournament you would like to make?
I'd just like to thank all you guys for your effort. Especially the first few days must have been pretty tough. I'm thinking about the hacking incidents, mistrzzz etc. You handled those situations really well.

Feature I like the most about the TSL: - Brilliant art and presentation. Really did a good job with that stuff, making it look very professional and clean. Honorable mention to the cool OSL-like resources tracker during the in-game commentary.
Area's Needing Improvement: - For the commentators, who were overall very good and insightful: Don't be afraid to be critical! Too often it seems like the superlatives are just flowing out of your mouths like crazy, when it's like, "OK yeah, that was good storm drop, but what are the players struggling to do well at the moment?" It's easy for an inexperienced eye to pick out what players are doing well, so they don't have to be stressed repeatedly, but it isn't as easy for them to pick out what they aren't doing well. Maybe since you guys know the players that you're commentating on your don't want to be too critical, almost to the point of going too far on the opposite end of the spectrum.
- In a perfect world, it would be totally live, not replays, but hey, I'll settle. Plus, with replays we get the nifty resources/population counter. So theres pros and cons, but if it could be 100% live that would be even cooler.
Thoughts about the Razer TSL website (which I did use): - The website looked amazing. Presentation, everything was top notch. Mainly I used the site to check on results and watch games. I don't know if theres anything I can even say that the site could need improvement on.
Did you use TSLD at all? - No, not really. I think it was mostly due to the fact that I didn't know how to get to it through the main TL.net homepage. Like there's a side tab that I could click on to get to TLPD, but there isn't something that simple to get to the TSLD. Plus the novelty of having a database is when you get more and more data. Being the first season of the tournament, there just wasn't a ton of information to look at. I think after a couple season's worth of games I'll be using the TSLD just as often for foreigners as I use TLPD for Korean pros.
Top 3 Commentating Teams: 1. Chill, Manifesto, and Artosis 2. Chill and Artosis 3. Chill, Chill, and Chill
Iconic Moment: - I hate to say it, but it would have to be either when Idra or NonY lost. Was pulling for the Americans all tournament, and just watching NonY get rolled was painful, but it's what I'll remember this TSL for the most.
