Polt has departed team EnVyUs and will forfeit his spot at Blizzcon to complete his mandatory military service. PtitDrogo is the next highest seed and will replace him.
It is unknown if he will permanently retire from progaming, however, given his age (28), it seems unlikely that the former GSL Champion and 8 time Premier tournament winner will return.

Wonder if he's getting married too. Kidding aside, seems a bit odd seeing as blizzcon is coming soon. Best of luck Polt! Your WoL and HoTS games were fun to watch.

The thing is, Korean military might force him to go... we saw that in OldBoys where Nal_Ra couldn't delay it anymore. I guess it is just independent?

well the timing of this is definitely a surprise

I didn't realize he was 28. Damn.

I think this decision makes a lot of sense. Polt knew that he could only leave if he had a successor to the title of "Captain America," and now that a worth successor has arisen, he can forego is mantle in order to continue his life.
That being said, I'm really sad that Hydra and now Polt have had to forfeit their spots. Even though Polt wasn't as dominant as he has been in the past, and he hasn't been playing as well online, he'd always risen to the challenge of Blizzcon.

Sad news. even less terran in blizzcon as well.

in a way, im glad koreans are making the biggest sc2 tourney in the world seem secondary to them. future of sc2 is looking bleak. not a ded gam post, just be realistic; do you see this game holding up for the next 2-3 years?

Agreed. Polt forfeited his blizzcon spot because the tournament isn't important to him.
