It has been a lot of fun watching you play in tourneys and streaming. All the best!

What i know for sure though was Polt was a guy who tried to embrace playing in the west in his latter years, great effort with the English even though their were some funny interview moments. He always played with a smile on his face and was an extremely likable guy. His attempts at BM were always lighthearted and he will be sorely missed in the SC2 community. Thanks for the memories Polt. p.s. I think in KR u can only put military service off so long, and I'm pretty sure I've heard somewhere that 28 may be the cut off. I think he's got to go into the marines corp though as it was pretty much the only unit he ever built ![]()

A great (the best?) foreign TvZer and the best Korean ZvTer. Damn you and your stupid missing 15 points Marc! I don't think he stands a chance since him and MLorD struggle to compete with Nerchio when it counts. Would have been cool to see the only other foreign Terran that has a shot vs KR (since him and MLorD are virtually the only foreign T to have beaten Nerchio in TvZ bo5 iirc? Edit: LotV ofc) zergs tho I agree. MLorD couldn't do much but uThermal might surprise them in bo3. But who knows maybe viOLet will forfeit as well ensuring no Korean in foreign WCS x).

Well, then blame is entirely on uThermal since he invoked the "I killed Neeb in a finale and thus I will forever be stomped every time I meet him" curse. He could have just lost to Neeb then beat him in the other tournaments. Also, TRUE is also a Korean from the WCS region and not just violet.

Getting completely crushed by someone much better than you is still called a curse? I'll take it ![]()

Maybe... oh I don't know... it's not so easy to "just show up"? You think Hydra could just be at the event on the 28th to play and then fly to Korea to get married the on the same day with severe jetlag (if he's even there on time because of time zones)? You think the military would have just let Polt go to Blizzcon but he decided to forfeit anyway? That's pretty optimistic.

I feel Hydra should have scheduled his wedding for early October whenever he started planning a date, but Polt I don't think had a choice. Just from reading he has to do Military, Korea won't let him delay any further as he's 28 years old. So it sucks for him as I don't think there's anything he could have done to delay it.

From a spectating point of view though, it would've been nice if he was replaced by another Terran. But there's not many good foreigners that play Terran

But unfortunately, they didn't play well enough to make the 10th spot. I would say, that uThermal has been a pretty good Terran throughout LotV, and Masa's been getting better. It's just that Europe is dominated primarily by Zerg, and their Protoss has kept up but their Terran has not. And then for NA it's like Neeb, Masa, and Scarlett (and Puck and Pili among others) who are the top.

I could see them not doing that too, since they are not actually playing the Ro16 at all, but I feel that would be a much more fair system. After all, the replacement players are still having their trip paid for, so they have little to lose.
