I almost didn't walk back into that smoky pool hall to introduce myself to my now-fiance. In retrospect, "Do you speak English?" is probably one of the worst introductions (or pick-up lines, if you want to call it that) of all time. Somehow, I coaxed her into giving me her number.
Five years, two continents later, I'm glad my friend told me to "go back in there and talk to that girl or you're walking home in the snow."
If you don't mind, could you write a blog about this experience? Sounds like an interesting one
EDIT: Then again, I guess you wrote all you could already. Oh well, if you have anything to add, I'd still like to read up.

Actually, I've been meaning to write a blog entry about it, but I keep thinking that it'll turn out too lengthly and people wouldn't bother to read it (despite what a "great story" it is, as a lot of our friends and family can attest). I'll try to get around to it finally, as it's an experience I'd really like to share with people.

Thanks TKWL. I need to subscribe to this thinking more often... T_T

"Do you speak English?"
That part alone automatically makes it worth reading XD

I simply have the impression that there's more to you that meets the eye. That's probably true of most members here, but your recent blogs catch my attention, like there's stuff I want to hear more, want to see more, want to solve you like a puzzle, want to hear those sweet, wise words whispered gently into my ears...*ahem*!
Anyways! I just like your writings, so keep it up
