I can recomment a good attorney, he is informed.. to a reasonably advanced extent. You'll need to reevaluate your suggestion, for me to alleviate mine: Worst host in history.

I try to do vote counts near 24 hours out, 18 hours out, 12, hours out, 6 hours out, 3 hours out, 2 hours out, 1 hour out, 30 minutes out, and 15 minutes out. This will basically cover any swings in votes, but more may be necessary dependent on how swingy things become.

I personally prefer to try and avoid too many votecounts, especially near the deadline. It's not my problem people want to be shit and switch votes at the last minute. I generally try to do one every 12-ish hours, so 3 votecounts throughout the day. Although, I don't feel very strongly about this so if my co-hosts feel like posting votecounts I'm fine with that. But I personally disapprove of doing regular votecounts near the deadline.

They do not have to be regular but the more votecounts the better from a players perspective. Of course it is totally up to the host to be a lazy jerk instead.
