Your body will actually function worse when it hasn't been fed for awhile. I would guess you have an eating disorder (or could easily develop one) based on the tone of your post, and you should be careful in the future.
wtf lol
I am just saying fasting for a few days isn't unhealthy. And no. No normal person in the western world eats because otherwise they would starve. We eat because we are hungry. Not because we are afraid to be undernourished.
Three days doesn't change anything. You will have enough glucose stored up in the form of glycogen. Then slowly you will start to use an increasing percentage of fat for energy. After only about 3 weeks without food, depending on how much fat reserves you had, your body will start to 'eat itself' and burn protein for energy. And even then you can survive for up to 70 days. But of course then with severe permanent damage.
But this isn't about not eating for 3 weeks, obviously. It's about not eating for 3 days or so. Plus, after a week you will no longer be as hungry anyway. So there's no reason to continue beyond that.
Just because I am fighting ignorance that doesn't mean I am supporting anorexia or something. Actually, I was disgusted by the idea that I am suddenly supposed to be an anorexia supporter.
Also, there are these myths about fasting being healthy for the body. Like those detox rumours Those are false as well. As long as it's only 2 to 4 days it has little effect except that you are confronted with intense hunger. There may actually be long term benefits if it ends up lowering your average calories intake. But that's something else.

yeah, but there's a big difference between the two. no food and your body will turn to fat. i mean, i dunno exacts, but im almost positive you can last much longer with no food than you could with water

I'm hoping you're hydrating yourself.

Fasting gives your body a chance to clean itself out...and gives your organs a break from having to constantly work and clear out a little. I know someone who fasts 1 day a week.

Human body lasts like 3 weeks+ without food but with water, but without water you're gonna die in like 4-5 days for sure

I just finished a 2 week fast eating only 3 pieces of veg per day. 2 carrots and 1 cucumber. I swear I nearly fainted when I driving home from work.
Don't do that. Don't fast for 2 weeks. Especially not while you are working like usual.

It doesn't clean up anything according to research. Your organs don't benefit from a 'break'. Fasting one day a week, nothing wrong with that.
