I just don't get it. Just like the guy who said it would be great to have the old battle system and someone said his girlfriend would not like it. Like she couldn't just throw the ball all the same and keep catching pokemons like she does now.
You see problems where there are no problems. The irony of this is delicious. to be fair I think the game will hit retention problems in a week or so due to it's lack of depth, but adding very exclusive content isn't going to fix that
Yeah I'm hoping that they find ways to keep things fresh locally.

But I think it would be cool if you could battle against other people you meet. It would make the game much more sociable. Give XP reward to both players, but more to the winner, only allow a fight every hour (or even every 5 minutes since they are apparently fine with Poke Stops having only a 5 minute cooldown). It would make the hunting and catching aspect more interesting IMO.
I think that idea's awesome

theyre adding trading, and leaderboards, thosre good steps imo

I've seen many messages like this one... so heartwarming

I wish it wasn't so cost ineffective to do anything other than use Pokemon who are already large when you catch them. I've always liked to keep my starter in my main team, it's just sort of tradition for me at this point. yet after pumping way too much stardust into my starter he's still so far from being useful that I regret having wasted the dust.

New ideas are cool and all, but you were the one who was dismissive of what the game currently has, insisting that they're not developing the game properly or big enough. It shouldn't come as a surprise when your ideas are refuted. Dude, you got it all wrong, developed as in something that will keep growing not in the sense it is designed. If you can't read is not my problem.
Of course my ideas will be refuted if they are read like you just did.

they could even have 8 gyms per country so, you are saying that you would add 8 regional gyms per country controlled by NPC? because that certainly seemed to limit it to 8 gyms per country, which is stupid. if its regional gyms, the idea is more interesting, but ultimately a waste of time discussing on a starcraft website (or dota it appears in your case).

The question is: Why would you make the arena aspect only available to some VERY dedicated people, when you can have everybody have a good time?

That's the thing. I think the idea of this whole new aspect of socializing will stay with us now. Which is nice.

they need to do something like hearthstone where they release content every 3-5 months. i heard they are releasing more pokemon in december, so this may already be there plan.

As a mental health counselor seeing things like this make me really happy.

Why would anyone want to play a game where you enslave intelligent species and train them to fight each other? I mean, how is this different from "Slavery: The Game"?
|
Because you meet a lot of like minded people in the process.
|
Actually the games and shows made quite the distinction in how certain people and factions treated their pokemon and the world around them, and one was good and the other was bad. Comparing it to slavery the game makes you sound like the nutters 10ish years ago who said it promoted occult ideas or the people who were against harry potter because of witchcraft and sorcery.
They are basically pets that you bond and build relationship with. No more 'slavery' than owning a cat or a dog. Can you have bad pet owners, yes you can, and there are people in the pokemon universe that act less than nobly, but they are the bad guys.

someone posted this in irc, might be interesting for some people from the US:
https://newsroom.t-mobile.com/news-and-blogs/free-pokemon.htm
(sounds like you get free, basicly unlimited data for pokemon go if you're with T-mobile in the US? I wouldn't know more about it and just checked it out real quick since I'm not from the US myself. There might be a catch to those deals so please read yourself)

PETA said that too hahahaha

PETA called, they want their little box of crazy back. It's a fictional game, in a fictional universe.
Pokemon aren't real.
