I'm so glad they're gone. It's damn fun just to watch the standings. :D They happened because the accounts are revealing too much informations in history like Build order, game length etc. Not because they are in GM.

The problem with doing a competition like this
|
Would you care to elaborate a bit on this? What exactly is the problem? Or the other way round - why should build orders remain secret?

If you see the history of your next opponent (Zerg) that he did hatch first 12 of 15 times, don't you feel "automatically" better prepared against him? Or either way round, player1 played 20 different build orders in last 20 games in order to confuse other player by looking his history, do you think player1 played reasonable/properly? I am talking from a progamer view.

But this applies to both of the opponents, doesn't it? Anyway, trying to surprise the opponent and hoping to not get scouted results in coinflippy, boring games, so I see no reason it should be promoted. I am talking from a viewer view.

I actually don't understand why Bonus Pool is even in the game. We didn't have it back in wc3 or BW.
Can't wait for the ladder revamp, then this ladder competition will be even better .

Can these barcodes use their name change like 10min before the deadline? I'm not sure why pros haven't thought of that to be honest... I'm sure they'd (their teams?) rather spend 40bucks per WCS than playing on their main account like that

Nope, they can not.

I don't think I implied that Grandmaster league caused barcodes. I was just saying that barcodes hurt Blizzard's attempt to make GM a fun thing to watch.

There really shouldn't be bonus pools at least for the time of the qualifiers. And i really doubt that grandmaster people give a crap about bonus pool in general so might as well remove it for them.

Yes. But I think any barcode is either a smurf or NA player (like Scarlett) anyway.
