After the success of my last battlereport which utilized gifs to highlight a late late late game TvZ win, I decided to give it another try, this time providing footage of a recent TvP that I tried playing using pure bio early on. Of course, bio isn't exactly the ideal situation in this matchup due to reavers and high templars as you'll see soon enough. Without further ado, I present to you, bio in modern age TvP:
Give bio please!
Despite this loss, I have made a pledge, to play more bio from this day forth so that the death of my brethren will not be in vain. Beware protoss players, bio and bigfan's shenanigans are coming! Hope you guys enjoyed it. Feel free to leave comments below!
You know, you could've won that game but your macro was slipping. You didn't have enough scvs mining minerals, and kept three on gas, so your gas just skyrocketed and you didn't have enough marines. TRY IT AGAIN

yes, I realize that. My macro slipped during that attack at one point so I lost a potential control group overall (all the times it slipped). I should've just stuck to bio but once I saw the reavers out, I knew that my time with bio was limited and decided to transition to mech but the transition was too slow and I didn't do a good enough job hurting the eco after that. Should've just stuck to bio and added more rax or something. Next time!
Of course! I plan to keep on trying even if my opponent goes for 3 reavers! haha. I'll have to reconsider if he gets 4 of them though Thanks for commenting!

Thanks! Mostly just reactions to the content quality (anything you would change?) since I know what mistakes I made and how to fix it for the next game. Thanks for commenting!

Even though the gif shows the whole game, I think you could supplement it with a short written portion if you want/have time. There might help people who miss something in the gif, or aren't sure what they're seeing.
Even basic details like what map it is, what openings are used, key events of the game and key takeaways would work nicely IMO.
Well if you go bio you should stay on bio and add vessels to your mix. Also 1 base bio is really easy to counter, go 2 base bio. But you will need to work on your macro and borrow at least 200 apm from Flash.
Well played. Hopefully you can make it happen the next time with the gas pull but you played like a real Terran and that means much more than stats, you should be proud.
As for the gif, it's really good. Couldn't load it on mobile at work but hey, assuming it doesn't take too much time to make I could devour hundreds of those.

hmm fair enough. Originally, I was thinking that maybe having a bit about the beginning but then figured the gif already shows that, the builds and overall game flow etc... As for other details, sure, good idea to include that information for any newbies to the game

it is though I would say the protoss has it rougher unless he can micro well. Once his goon count increases and he focus fires/pulls goons back etc... it's a harder battle for both imo. Lots of people don't realize how fast stimmed marines are lol. Reavers being out pretty much seal the deal for bio.

Also, the reaver did more than kill your bio army, it killed most of your econ at the main.
Fun game nevertheless.
ya, the reaver killed 7 SCVs when I was still just expanding and increasing my worker count. He had the proper response and my macro slipped which didn't help my cause either.

classic bigfan :D
(also, you also could've ran up the ramp and murder the probes )
haha well, I didn't plan on ending the game right then. Maybe I should've but I expanded behind the attack then retreated once I took down his exp. Wanted to macro up and then go in for the kill later but I didn't anticipate 2 reavers knocking on my front so soon (thought he sunk it all in his goons and eco).

yes, I should've stayed on it. Was planning to go up to 10 rax and play it like a TvZ but split like a mad man against storms and reavers late game. As for 1 base or 2 base, well, yes, guess that's true which is why I transitioned to 2 base eco but thought that a mech transition might be a better option at that point (reaver count increasing). My macro still needs work but I'm sure I'll eventually win a bio TvP game (not early in previous games but later on )

Hey Stratos! hmm good point. I wanted to steal his gas but he took it first. Thanks, yes, I'm proud! I plan to keep playing bio till I get it to work. I feel that with my micro and good positioning/splits, I might be able to even make it late game against reavers and storms. Macro is my holding factor these days
ah odd. It doesn't take as long to make as my written battle reports as long as I have an idea of what I want to show and I'm efficient in editing and such. Uploading it takes a long time though but it's usually around 300mb. Will likely make more BRs this way in the near future and glad to see that you enjoyed it. I think you'll enjoy the other one I linked in the OP even more

isn't deep six an all-in? Then again, playing bio against protoss is pretty much allin-ish lol. I'll have to look into the specifics

Microing goons vs stim marines is pretty rough. I lost a few goons due to poor micro. I thought it was a bit of a gamble to take my one reaver to drop his main, but it worked out and I got my other reavers out in time.
If you go bio, in TvP, you're usually going to be going for the win before they can get their reaver or templar tech. The build you did was fine. Going deep-six requires more management, but I feel like it'll win you the game against someone who goes templar tech to counter you. Sero does it quite a bit, so if you watch his stream you'll probably see it, and you can ask for replays.

Pros make it look easy. I've failed this shit a bunch of times myself.

lol no, I'm not lost. I had a plan in mind during the game and wasn't planning to end it after his nexus went down unless he didn't have much defense (he had 5 goons+reaver on ramp).

hmm I'm not sure tbh. Haven't played enough bio tvp to know. Thanks!

yes, I know that part since I looked into bio in TvP back when I first started playing BW (kinda the reason I switched to mech when he had 2 reavers). Thing is, I don't want to end it there. I want to go up against reavers and templars and see what it's like. That and I couldn't end it here with how well guarded his ramp was. Does he? I don't see Sero stream as much these days. Maybe next time he streams, I'll watch, thanks!

It's why they are pros Agree with falling. Reaver worked well and microing goon is rough because most people underestimate marine speed (or aren't fast enough)

I would advise you to stay away from bio builds for now and focus on proper mech play.
The build you executed is a weak variation of 1 base bio rush. If you really want to all-in against protoss, it's better to use bio-mech strategy variation such as deep six.
However, Learning to play TvP is not about gimicky bio builds, It's about using proper mechanized builds while putting emphasize on macro, mech units control and hotkey mechanics. mech play is very APM demanding and bio is even more.
If a bio player doesn't outright kills the protoss or severely cripples him with the timing attack, the game is over most of the time. The goal is to play a proper macro build(e.g. fact cc, fd push or rax cc) and aim for a timing attack on a 3 base to crush the protoss expansions.
