I'm one of those people plagued by facial hair that grows incredibly fast. If I shave in the morning, I'll have a "5 o'clock shadow" by lunch time. I actually got in trouble once at work for not being clean-shaven when my manager went to send me to lunch, and when I explained that my facial hair grows outrageously fast, I don't think he believed me.
But anyways, I usually just keep my facial hair in a goatee, but I hate that if I don't shave at least once a day at the right time, I start to look more like I have a beard and just can't trim properly (as the hair around my upper and lower lips, and chin is longer than the hair on my cheeks).
So, denizens of TL, what should I do? Grow a beard? Carry an electric razor on my utility belt?

go for a full beard = very manly at least that's what I did

Is shaving during the lunch break an option?

I guess so. I don't actually work at that place anymore, so getting in trouble isn't really of any concern. It's just annoying to have a goatee when the rest of your facial hair that's just going to grow back in four minutes and corrupt your appearance.

i'm not a doctor, but i'm pretty sure hair doesn't grow on skin that's been damaged from burning

might be worth a try. I'm not a chemist, but I'm pretty sure that gasoline burns really good.

Mine doesn't grow that fast so I can get away with shaving the night prior... I think if you shave carefully right before you leave, it will be obvious to most by 5 oclock that you just have fast growing hair... but I could be wrong.

my pubes grow outrageously fast as well
we are in the same boat rpf

Don't they have creams or something that makes hair regrow slower?

lol i know exactly what you mean, my choices are to shave everyday or just don't shave for a few days and let it grow a little then shave it completely. I usually chose the latter because it doesn't bother me too much to let it grow a little and if I choose to shave everyday my skin usually ends up getting irritated.

Haha, Maddox came to mind right away.
Rpf, I'm pretty much the opposite of you. My hair grows slow, and it's really patchy. To make matters worse, its multicoloured. It grows out as Red and Black.

Take this test and post the results. Your manliness may begin to fade slightly as a result and cause slower facial hair growth.
Or you'll begin to develop breasts.
It's win/win!

WHAT SHOULD I DO TL.NET?
Almost none of you have met me (and the ones who have dont check blogs) but I grow facial hair! Should I shave it or keep it? I am too weak minded to make choices for myself so I put it up to discussion on a gaming forum made up of apathetic young men who could care less about the facial hair of another man.
Common dude?

Common dude? I disagree with your subtext... he has a problem that is not all that common (in places where he chats, at least)... but some people might be able to make some suggestions.

Not really.. hes just saying he grows lots of facial hair. Thats a genetic thing that LOTS of men deal with. Complaining about it makes no sense at all.. and I think it ESPECIALLY makes no sense here. That is my point.
But its not like he is the first to bitch about something completely unorthodox and unimportant on this site.. hell I've done it.

Maybe I read into it too much or not enough, but it seemed like his problem was that his beard grows back too quickly and then he doesn't look cleanshaven... I can't think of any advice regarding that though, other than to have an electric shaver handy which... yeah... seems overkill
