Yesterday you posted This on your own personal blog, which I totally get cause I can understand how the toxic opinions of people would get to you. You clearly state you're incapable of just "ignoring" people who criticize you or by extension here your team. Do you feel like you need to keep people informed here of Axiom's happenings? in which case my question would be couldn't Olimoley fill that void? Or is it more a "Damned if I do, Damned if I don't" thing and you just feel the need to put your perspective on things. I mean stepping away from one form of toxic environment won't work if you willingly open yourself to others so I genuinely confused and want to hear your opinion on this.

I had no idea that a lot of it exists and i give TL like 50 hits a day and visit TB's youtube channel almost daily as well. I don't make this out to be surprisingly angry. Sarcastic, sure, but c'mon! This guy even got an answer and a good one at that. That's already more insight and community interaction than most sc2 teams provide! I found this to be an interessting read and as a cherry on the cake, I learnt about the "progamer vs"-thing, which I will give a shot the next time I'm on youtube.

For that I am happy for you, truly TB I am, I have been following Axiom long enough that to know you have finally got to this point is amazing and I congratulate you for it. At the same time with all due respect, TL likes to think that we are more sophisticated than reddit or twitch chat, that is why people are so angry in the chat. I would bet at least 90% of them are Axiom fans and that is why they came here, NOT to bash on you, but they were justifiably put off by your attitude. Congrats on Axiom and everything else, but seriously there is no need to turn this into an internet fight, that's why we come to TL, we have no need for that. I personally was unaware of the YouTube efforts for example you put out and I am glad that you brought it up. TL;DR: TB we love Axiom and are happy it is thriving, but we would prefer if it could be said without the aggression. Those are my 2 cents. Thanks

As they say, "haters gonna hate", but I want to add that haters don't necessarily only hate, but they fundamentally, like many of us, fundamentally misunderstand the various business models that pro teams have. I didn't know how Axiom made its money. Had I been 16, a bit of a cunt like I was back then and wanted to feel relevant, I just might have posted some stupid shit like that.

The internet in general has become a hostile place, where sheep will flock together to downvote/spam anything you say that they don't agree with. In most cases they aren't even the majority, but the vocal minority. This has always held true for review websites, where it's far more likely for someone to post about a negative experience than a positive one. The same thing pretty much bleeds into online gaming communities. There was a time ten or so years ago where gaming communities were pretty awesome. I'd even say that pre-SC2 Teamliquid was a pretty cool and fun place to hang out at. Everyone wanted gaming to go mainstream, and it has - and with that comes all the kids, trolls, douches, and everyone else that makes gaming less fun than it used to be. Totalbiscuit acts like an entitled child most of the time, but he DOES know what he's talking about. People on here and Reddit always want more, but never show respect or give credit to people who can actually give them what they want. And again, it's not just here - I was very involved in the Everquest Landmark community during alpha. As soon as they opened the flood gates for beta the forums were suddenly full of downvotes, trolls, and assholes and most of the dedicated veteran players bailed out. You kids need to stop biting the hands that feed you, then whining about it later. I think you're just getting old dude

I was a long time viewer of TB's content before I'd even considered checking out SC2, it was his promotion of CranK and the rest of the Axiom boys that made me think "huh, I like RTS games, lets check out SC2!" Man, TB advertising / casting Iron Squid got me into SC2. Good times

but I thought your post was interesting, and I was glad to have been educated. IMO you could lose the british sarcasm for PR purposes. Because you appear aggressive, and it doesn't achieve anything. You're a business with an image and fans to maintain. If somebody criticises you, think of a way to improve, if you think he's living in the 5th dimension, just ignore him or kindly guide him to your youtube channel or paste some frontpage articles or something.

It's amazing to me how someone who cheated death could get so up in arms over something as silly and insignificant as a critical post on Reddit. Oh, and thanks for the latest gimmick deck. Let's look at the teams that survived solely on tournament results: + Show Spoiler + Yeah, exactly. Plus, haven't you guys ever thought about why the EG SC2 squad is still kicking, even though their ace JD is performing poorly? If results aren't delivered, then you market, which is what TB and EG have been doing. If anything, some of you guys should be glad that TB has been keeping this team alive amidst the heavy competition against loaded KeSPA teams and might motivate other aspiring teams to follow his example.

You talk about toxicity, but you focus almost exclusively on those who shit on you, whilst ignoring those of us who never miss an opportunity to say how much we appreciate your content. That's honestly how it feels as a content creator though... even coming from a much smaller community than StarCraft, it's very easy to hyper-focus on criticism and brush away praise as undeserved. I think TB has even talked about this in the past and has been pretty open about some of the psychological stress that it's had on him.

Apparently I (and him) both missed a lot of stuff you guys do, so really thanks for clearing it up and summing everything up in this post ! I'll have to check your YT channel to watch some of the videos you described, seems like really cool stuff that I wasn't even aware of ! So yeah, keep doing what you do, apparently you're doing well ! :-) Edit: clarifications. Well of course if you only follow the major tournaments semis and finals your not gonna see to much of Axiom. TB said himself they really aren't winning that many tournaments, but you have to understand that SC2 doesn't have much of a casual crowd. The majority will try to watch the entire thing, watch streamers, and watch it on youtube. That is probably why it slipped under yours and this guys radars. I am not saying you or that guy who posted the original content is dumb or ignorant, you guys just don't follow the many other ways SC2 is presented and used to entertain people.

That said, you seem to have a problem with criticisms or even the slight disagreement. Lets be honest, if one of my colleagues or manager speaks and respond like you do, this guy is getting fired. No matter how much you do or how much more you know, your behaviour is honestly, childish and douchey. Also, i am disgusted that people are still defending TB when he has crossed the line at times. ''Oh he produce content, cut him some slack.'' This is teamliquid people, not preschool sucking up to the popular kid. This doesnt mean much, but i made it a point not to watch any Axiom content long ago simple because i could not justify supporting someone like you.

Every time I read anything about TB, or see anything with him in it, he's always an asshole. Even when he is in a professional setting doing his thing, he seems kind of condescending and a bit... dickish. I strongly believe you are an asshole. About a year and a half ago, I was speaking with you on another account about something sc2 related. You blew up and freaked out over nothing (typical), and I told you, you just lost a fan. Your response was oh well, one fan won't be missed. I'm glad things are finally catching up with you. You can put as much sugar on top of Axiom's viewer count as you want. Axiom is a dead team. I almost never see crank on stream but ok? That means you're dead. Just like Idra, you can be popular and good at what you do, but if you continue being a douchebag asshole, you'll get dropped.
