Is this a new thing for the '15 seasons? Or has it been there before? Have any players been requested to do this so far?

Purview is a visual method specially adapted for kittens, so that sentence implies that the tournament administrator will be of a feline persuasion, probably slightly increasing the administration quality compared to previous tournaments. + Show Spoiler +

Good work Aeromi love that quest log xD

Formerly in WCS America/Europe you auto-qualified for Premier just for making it to Ro16, which I thought was too many people, but just the champion seems too few. What's wrong with the "top 8" model GSL's been using forever? Well, isn't it way funnier to make everyone go back to Challenger considering it's a single Bo5 format and not a group format?

Much like a Zerg (Miniraiser?) was DQ'ed from that British tournament because he wasn't trying to win the game. It also applies to match-fixing obviously, but I feel it's not the only reason.

Didn't he basically take his hands off the keyboard and like walk around or something? Like very obviously not playing the game

Well Challenger in WCS AM/EU was Bo5 last year too... anyway I don't mind that much I just wonder if this is good for the WCS tournament. The result of dropping everyone but champion to Challenger where they could be eliminated in a single Bo5 is a lot more churn in the tournament meaning a lot more likely that fan favorites could be eliminated. For example let's assume NaNiwa (a player I dislike but who is very popular with foreign fans) has an amazing run this season of WCS and ends up in the finals where he happens to lose. Next season he's straight back to Challenger where he might get matched up against Scarlett or Jaedong or some unknown player who cheeses him out? I question the wisdom of the decision for WCS' popularity.

Played several qualifiers displaying a mech/mass raven turtling style that made up for very long games, delaying the entire brackets (did one of his game beat the Mana vs Firecake record? I don't remember). And by turtling style I mean turtling style, not trying to win at all. However that did not led to him being DQ'ed because there was no rule about that by then ; what got him DQ'ed was checking Twitter/Twitch chat while in game, walking out of his chair and being literally AFK during the game, as well as writing "I'm a terrorist. Jihad" at the end of the game when Seeker Missile'ing his own Raven fleet.
