Does any think that Law may have used to his fruit power to "cut" his arm simultaneously with DD's saw technique? If I was in that situation that seems like a good option, and Law seems devious enough to pull it off.
Not saying I believe this, but it's at least a credible option.

if he could have cut his arm why not just cut DDs leg?

Nah, that makes sense actually. It's easy to cut off your own limb since you control the haki which protects it, unlike DD's limbs which DD protects with his haki. So Law could easily lop off his arm and draw out some blood to make it appear that DD cut it off.
What happens in Law's room is what Law decides. He could have given DD the impression to have had the arm cut off he so chose, possibly.

im pretty sure DD would notice though if law had a cutting implement next to his arm and would have gone over to finish the job of cutting it

Law cant cut without something to cut with
So, what do you call it when Law uses "Room", rearranges everyone's body parts, takes apart ships, cuts cannonballs, etc, all just by making some random gestures with his hands. Surely you're not claiming he's cutting them with his letter tattoos.

not if DDs strings conduct lightning
Well conducting lightning could help him not take the full force of it, thus helping him survive it!
but i really don't think Enel would stand a chance since he is so full of himself and lazy

And if you are, it seems like he could do that in his current situation.
he needs to use his sword (or other sharp implement) to cut things before they can be rearranged
You realize he doesn't do this all the time, aka when using shambles he cuts of heads/limbs/etc and reattaches them to other things, all while his sword stays in its sheath.

marine - head severed, sword - still in sheath There's probably more, but this is the first one I thought of.
I'm having trouble telling if you are trolling or not. Here is the page right before the one you linked. where you clearly see his sword he used to cut the marines head off then he sheaths it and then on the page you linked he uses shambles to switch them. http://www.mangapanda.com/103-2611-18/one-piece/chapter-504.html
edit When he uses the ability mes which he used to take smokers heart out his sword was not being used to my knowledge but his shambles ability has always required him to cut the opponent first..
Law doesn't have to cut something to use his ability. He's used objects like flower pots and logs to teleport people around, without cutting any of them. Or when Law used Shambles to swap the personalities of the Straw Hats back at Punk Hazard. He levitated battleships without cutting said battleships. etc etc.
Further examples, when he saved Sanji from Doflamingo, he grabbed a log, and swapped it with Sanji. And later when Luffy and Law were getting away from Diamante, used shambles to swap himself/Luffy with a far away barrel.

cutting and moving something is a different ability from swapping things

That's true, but he is only able to swap things as units. If he wants to move a rock he can exchange it with something else without cutting it. However if he wants to move each half of the rock to different places within the room, he has to cut it in half or otherwise separate it first. So its doubtful that he could have separated his arm without Doflamingo noticing.

Cutting is. But moving cut objects and uncut objects is exactly the same thing.

This. This man finally explained it right. I couldn't figure out how to say it right and make followable easily.

Not necessarily true. He can move things with different abilities, but he has used Shambles to both move things around his Room and Swap them. And he doesn't need to cut something to do either, which is the point. The ability he used to levitate things was not called shambles, I forget what that was called, but he didn't have to cut things to use that either.

This is also true. But the point being, things don't have to be cut by him in order for him to use Shambles to move things around/swap them. Hes moved around whole people in the middle of fights using Shambles, as see in Luffy/Law vs DD/Trebol. You are right that he probably couldn't just use Shambles to sever his own and move it.

hes only moved things without cutting it when its an inaminate object though and in one complete piece
id say thats its limitation since otherwise he would have just lifted vergo and laughed

You're completely wrong. He can move people which are definitely not inanimate. When he saved Sanji, he swapped himself with Doflamingo. http://www.mangareader.net/one-piece/724/8

yes i get he can swap people but he cant just grab someone and have them fly through the air he can teleport people but he cant have them levitate like he does the battlecruiser when the G5 arrive on punk hazard
