I never said that it was "so good," but I wouldn't mind seeing this in the game if it spawned randomly and especially if it wouldn't cost me a card to play. It's a freeture. He is dangerous. The ultimate fate of Proleague depends on whether he can be suppressed by the other team. I don't understand how he can play at such a level. In Brood War, he never exhibited such skill.” “Patience emperor. For I have seen this threat coming and have sent some of my best men on the case. They have researched his past and present in great detail, determining how he lives, how he trains. As soon as their report comes in, we will know all his strengths and more importantly his weaknesses. With this knowledge he will be no threat to our conquest of Proleague. I'll admit that I am intrigued by his power. I never expected such a thing from him. But behind the scenes the SK Telecom President work tirelessly to bring ruin to those that wronged him; Bogus and INnoVation foremost among them. It seems like he can provide a safe haven in a foreign team for INnoVation in case of danger. I pray it does not come to that.” At that moment, Coach Park Jong Soo ran into the room. Breathless he stammered: “I... have... figured out... who is after us. SKT is the one moving against us from the shadows. More importantly... , we have a traitor in our midst. I don't know who... , but I suspect...” “That is enough Coach.” said Classic pulling a gun out of his pocket. “Nobody move until the men from SKT get here.” “Traitor,” said Calm. “How could you have betrayed us?” “SKT promises me things you could not give me. They promised me my dream, a GSL title. It was an offer I couldn't bear to refuse.” “We were your friends,” implored Mini, “We have trained, lived, and laughed together for so many years. Please don't do this to us.” Seeing Classic's eyes cloud over, while he grasped for an answer, Bogus seizes his opportunity. “Run INnoVation!” INnoVation sprinted towards the door, escaping to the safe haven of team Acer, but before he got there Classic reacted aiming at him. As he fired, Bogus desperately threw himself in the path of the bullet, protecting his son INnoVation as he escaped. He then collapsed, dead. Confounded by what he had done, Classic stood still as Mini leaped to him wrenching the gun from his hand and hitting him in the stomach. He stood there getting hit until the SKT team finally arrived. They handled the situation quickly and professionally. Calm and Jong Soo were forced into the military while Mini was coerced into retiring. STX SouL lost its sponsor and was thrown out of KeSPA. The rest of the team was allowed to form the temporary team SouL to find employment, on the condition that it disband before the end of the year. SKT's victory was complete. In the back alleys of Seoul, INnoVation had escaped. And for the first time in his existence, he cried, mourning the loss of his father and creator. Inuh found him there and brought him to a safe haven away from SKT influence. September 1st, back at the SKT offices “You see, Boxer, that is how you achieve victory over your enemies, splintering their existence and scattering them across the world. SouL is dead, and INnoVation has been forced to flee.” “He is only gone to a different team President. He still exists to oppose us in individual leagues.” “Naive, Boxer, naive. INnoVation is nothing with Bogus gone. He will not win another title, I guarantee it. Not until he joins us at least.” “Joins us... but...” “He has a soul now, according to Classic, and a soul mean ambition. He will stagnate overseas and in Korea, and hunger for the times he was dominant. And then, we will get him. At SKT, we have the technology to perfect him, to make him the invincible machine that he was designed as. The lure of power has corrupted those more powerful than he.” “Your wisdom is great President.” “It is, isn't it.” said the SKT President self-satisfiedly. And as Boxer left he reminded him, “You will be exiled this month.” And everything went as predicted by the President's dark prophecy, INnoVation still strong, but no longer dominant, and unable to win a title. Boxer being forced into exile, and Woongjin, and the remains of SouL collapsing within the year. And eventually... September 25th 2014, at the SKT offices “INnoVation. Your code is antiquated and corroded; your performance while still valiantly sustained is collapsing. If you do not join us, your future is this: you will fail to win yet another title, falling 4-0 to our soO. He knows your weaknesses that haven't been fixed. You stand no chance. But you have a choice.” INnoVation reflected deeply and with emotion about his choices. Both were unenviable. He could join his hated nemesis SKT, and finally experience the joys of victory again, or he could stagnate and lose as he failed to move with the times and the meta. He knew the price of both choices and weighted them carefully. And finally he knew that there was only one thing he could do. “I accept.” INnoVation was quickly remodelled and upgraded in the days approaching the grand finals of the GSL. An SKT grand final the President thought, as he considered it. He was pulled out of his reflections by a question from one of his technicians. “And his personality chip... do we?” The President chuckled. “Oh yes.” And the technicians rushed to perform the operation that would make The Machine a machine again. October 4th, GSL Finals, GOM studio INnoVation had won. He had defeated soO 4-2. As he was given the trophy he thought only of calculations and possible adaptions to his playstyle that granted resiliency to roach-bane all-ins. Some tune-up was necessary. Flowers were proffered to him. Without knowing why he decided to smell them. They told him something. Why was he thinking about flowers? He focused on his builds again, while repeating the meaningless sentences that his interview circuits suggested to him. He needed to be ready for the World Finals at Blizzcon. #IMadeThis | ||
