- Fergie himself picks Moyes as his successor. - Fergie builds team around Rooney, allowing his $$$ greed to grow. - Fergie retires before big money is spent for tying down some star players who might want to play under his guidance. Fast forward ahead, everybody blames Moyes. Surely he did fuck up MU's playing philosophy bad, but he also inherited a lot of problems after Sir Alex plus the bad start already has a downward spiral effect on his lads. The team lacks agression and spirit Ferguson was putting into it, but I'd say, maybe, just maybe, it will take one bad season for these guys to adjust (although holy Jesus, Moyes should put a hold on that mindless crossing game before it kills us with boredom).

Yep it can be quite addicting, just the adverts are annoying. I used to phone in all the time.. quiz night was great (before google was around, i.e. a rather long time ago..).

Shame about the quiz night, it's true that google has ruined that.

Moyes might have made bad decision but this game is 99% the players fault and anyone who is angry at moyes for this particular game but not the players is .. kinda crazy Manu players are a disgrace.. really Im telling you its the Fergie voodoo, 60 mins + chewing gum black magic is no more. Mediocre side is mediocre. On February 26 2014 07:50 wingpawn wrote: Fast forward ahead, everybody blames Moyes. To be fair, even in the past when they've been in trouble thats what they ended up doing for the last 30 mins. Generally they have been pretty efficient in the final third aswell,. Their style has been get it up quick and then make the plays that matter in the final third, out wide, down, the middle quick 1-2s or triangles. They could do it all, wherever they could make space. But so very many of their games, that they got bailed out was the mindless crossing game where you would sit and think,, aww this is never going to work and then a Hernandez would pop up with a diving header 6 feet out leaving you thinking how that didnt get cleared with the entire defense in the box. Teams would bend over. Its a reinforcing belief system; you come back enough times teams fear you, teams fear you and fuck up you start believing it yourself and so on. Even players feel the "omg its 80 mins we United will score for sure." where as United was going "Fuck yeah 80 minutes, time to turn it on and win this shit".

It doesn't help that the guys standard face is either "baffled" or "sad" from what I've seen on the sidelines. That's hardly inspiring.

"Januzay is their best player" "What does that say about the squad if a 19 year old is their best player" "But why leave him out of the squad then" IMO Moyes's problem is that he has a sub top 4 level squad and he hasn't really invested correctly with plenty of money. Man Utd bought Mata who they didn't need, Kagawa and Rooney can play in that position. Man Utd needed Matic, Van Ginkel, a central defender and a winger.

for years, the squad has become worse and more imbalanced, key players have gotten older and were not properly replaced. and the team had already started losing its killer instinct long before moyes took charge. yes, moyes made many mistakes, but i think even with fergie, this season would have turned out to be united's worst one in over a decade. the league title last season is kinda deceptive, the other teams just werent as strong. last season, the title race was unusually uncompetitive by pl standards.

In his book, Sir Alex said that the club had to lie to RVP and Kagawa and tell them that he wasn't retiring for a few more years to get them to sign. :x I'm pulling so hard for Galatasaray. I still remember that awesome game last season when they beat Real Madrid in Turkey.

Van Persie said: 'Our fellow players are sometimes occupying the spaces I want to play in. And when I see that, it makes it difficult for me to come to those spaces as well. So that forces me to adjust my runs, based on the position of my fellow players. And, unfortunately, they are often playing in my zones. I think that's a shame.'

So far he played for 7 minutes in the Bundesliga. It will take a lot of hard work to get back into the starting eleven after such a long absence. He certainly won't play against Real today. Let's just hope he is back to his old self when the World Cup comes In hindsight Schalke should have sold him to Zenit for lots and lots of money when they had the chance.
