His group is doable for sure. He lucked out and dodged terrans.
Think it really can do either way vs HerO. Haven't seen much of Hero's PvZ lately but he's still really good + it's DHWinter which is his tournament. But Leenock has generally had a pretty good record vs HerO so..
Leenock has never actually faced Jaedong. Both being ZvZ kings this will be a really hyped game. Also don't know how this will end up. This game has so much potential to be insane.
The other 2 is beatable and he should win them, unless he is massively jet-lagged. Going Korea -> Germany -> Korea -> Sweden in 2 weeks is exhausting. Especially since Jönköping (city which DHW/DHSummer is in) is a pain to travel to.. Closest airport being 2hours away.
So he should finish anywhere between 1-3. I think Jaedong will top the group so I hope Leenock can edge out a 2nd place so he goes on in the winner's bracket.
I am going to be there so I am really hyped for this. Hope he can perform!
Better picture by Ethan_ahn imo, more justice to his haircolour.
Another picture from when they wrote the contract. big picture + Show Spoiler +
Joining this team was probably the right decision. As much as I wanted to see him in Proleague, I think seeing him in foreign tournaments is more fun. Especially if I get to meet him at Dreamhack again~
Code S starts soon again, hope he can perform well.
Oh well. Just reaching Code S is still an achievement.
Next weekend he plays in IEM in Germany, will be fun. Hope he can do well there.
Then there is always TeSL to look forward to since he has a pretty good chance of taking it all there. Will be a cool life experience to live abroad as well for him. Hope he enjoy Taiwan! Might get a new perspective on the game and become one of the absolute best again. I still have faith.
He's playing in the Katowice open bracket! Possible for him to make it out for sure (edit, thought 4 would make it out, not only 2 t_t), hopefully does a good tournament. Just want to see some improvement, don't care so much about results.
Leenock participating in the korean starcraft talkshow with stardust etc. He joins in around 2minutes and stay til the end. No idea if it is meant he is going to be regular guest or not, might ask him.
He didn't have the best performance at IEM Cologne but since then he's beaten CJ Trust, Patience who has beaten some decent zergs, and all killed NrS who used Welmu twice. I know Welmu is a foreigner but his PvZ has been alright. He lost to Super in the GSL Global Championship qualifiers but it was 1-2. Leenock should have a pretty good chance against Liquid HerO. Not sure about Rain. Could go either way
