hallo teamliquid, it has been way to long since I have posted a blog on teamliquid and decided I should write one again. I planned at first to go full emo style and talk about things that have been bothering me along time and use it as a platform of just expressing my self to a way diffrent audience I could get any where else. but now I decided to talk about my passion. Star Craft!!
My goal with this blog is to give people insight on my road to activly becoming somebody who helps the scene grow in some way and try to become a pro gamer one day.
I know there are ALOT of people making these statements, and to be honest I can't say if i will ever make it. who knows sc2 will die, or I will lose my passion for it like so many other people. but even if that will be the case I still want to give this a shot. and above else maby let others give a peak in life-style.
Motivation seems to be one of the biggest issues when it comes to pro-gaming, of course there are MANY hard working people around in the progaming scene, but the hardest part is to maintain it over a longer span of time. that is the reason why I have SO MUCH respect to most koreans and people like kas a few years back and LLL.Jona now who has more than 1000 games already this season. Personally I will try to make as much "things" in my life to keep up this motivation and passion for starcraft. this blog is one of them. I will be making a blog every week on teamliquid about my progress and things that I have learned about starcraft, or give reports on the benelux (BElgium, NEtherlands, LUXemburg) scene
My goal for the next month for starcraft.
1. 15 games of starcraft EACH day, wensdays off that will equal around 15x6= 90 games a week, and 1190 games a season.
2. watch each week atleast 15 replays of my self and 5 progames Watching replays is something that I did way to little before but is in my opinion something very important since it allows you to adjust your feel of the game, in my experiance game sense is the most important thing when it comes down to how far you can extent and when you can put pressure (and when not to) this is something that you CAN learn from playing alot. but will take ALOT longer time to learn it like that since that probally will involve alot of throwing games away to see what is possabile and what is not.
3. Compete in atleast 1 cup a month. This is for just a little check on how much I improved against a better caliber of players and learn from getting utterly dominated
I didn't include any ladder based goal in yet since I am afaid it will shift my focus from improving to just doing well on ladder. which can back fire really hard in my opinion later. I think i will start putting them in after I either got masters (currently top 50 diamond eu) or something like next month.
I hope you enjoyed my blog sorry for any errors I made in my writing, I am not an native english speaker. also if there are any questions feel free to post them below
