You kinda have to be a bit of a prick to be a dedicated shotcaller, if you're the team's sole decision maker you sort of need a bit of a "everyone but me is wrong" mentality.

BR, that is very untrue and just slanderous towards Reginald's reputation of being a great shotcaller, but a not so great player.
Honestly, for NA standards Regi was a pretty good mid too. Either way, Saga posted about as venomously as one could attempt about not just Regi, but all of TSM.
You dont need to be a prick to be the shotcaller. People just need to listen ingame. Outside of the game you can discuss calls and work out how you handle things as a team but inside the game the shot callers word is final. Its nothing about being a prick.

I'm not saying he was a bad shotcaller, in fact he was awesome at this
And I agree with fusillero, I'm just saying that for some1 to be a shotcaller you need an extrememlly specific situation, trying to put one in teams with a diferent dynamic is boud to fail
regi was completly micromanaging oddone, every one knew about it. If any1 trys to micromanage any other jungler the way regi was doing with oddone, the guy would leave the team within weeks. their situation is unique and not replicable, searching for "dedicated shotcallers" in teams other than TSM will never work

Well prick is the wrong word perhaps, but the shotcaller pretty much needs to assert himself if there starts to be confusion over calls then you end up being spring split CLG the shotcaller needs to go "I'm right, do as I said"

Thats a problem of clashing ego's tho. If it isnt over calls it happends over something else.

No, there is a huge difference between asserting yourself and having an "always right attitude". An intelligent team will follow a solo caller because they trust his analysis (more than others) and understand the unity benefits of the call structure. A leader who has an "always right" attitude squanders input from the team and will lose authority as he looks out of touch with reality whenever he makes a call with a bad result, not to mention is obnoxious and douchey.
I don't think a Captain usually "calls for shots" in any other sport tho In rugby, usually the captain is a low number, a very strong and solid guy that keeps the moral of the team high, the guy calling the shots and the plays is the 10 or 11, usually a small frame specialized in passes Basketball captain varies but can be anything, but the one deciding plays is usually the pointguard
I can keep going on but I think a captain and a shotcaller are 2 different things
It depends. Cricket the Captain decides fielding positions, batting order and bowlers but he does that with the help of coaches/players which is how things normally work. Generally the captain is of the players while coaches etc. do the overarching game.
For the sake of LoL I think it's fine calling the Shotcaller the Captain since the shotcaller is basically in charge of the players at that time.
I'm pretty sure at least in ice hockey the captain is usually someone experienced and generally the player that keeps the morale high and talks the team up on the bench and so on... I don't think the role has anything to do with shotcalling
You guys are getting wayward here. In sports there are people not actively playing that can make the calls but in LoL there is no such thing. There are only people pre/post game so inside the game the "shotcaller" and the "captain" are the same thing.

Cleanse doesn't remove healing debuffs and they're pretty damn easy to apply. Pretty sure MF can activate W and apply 2000 healing debuffs.
