I guess it kind of goes in between. Your right, his PvZ is god awful lately, but his PvT has been shown much less. Failure after failure of his PvZ has been broadcast as of late, but he hasn't had nearly as many PvTs shown. His PvT is just generally regarded as not good, let's put it that way. Artosis and Tasteless, for example, are constantly commenting on the weakness of his PvT.

He played beautifully, but his PvT has generally been slumping as of late (especially since the end of the last WCS season). Just because Andre Kirilenko (an NBA player) can play very well, does not mean he is generally a great player. Just the same, just because PartinG can show a great match in PvT does not mean that he is generally a great PvTer.

His PvT isn't the best in the world like last year, but it's still at least top 5. I can't say it's better than Rain's right now though.

As it turned out, Trap scouted Bisu going nexus first, while Trap himself wasn't going nexus first. The outcome after that was quite... predictable. Trap built two more gateways, marched into Bisu's base, This is a little bit of an over simplification, Trap building two more gateways was not a response, that was his plan from the start of the game. Trap opened with a gateway on 10, used only 1 chrono on probes, he had to go all in with 3 gates. His build was the fastest possible warp gate attack for PvP. He took a gamble on Bisu not scouting him first, if he had it would have been a horrible position for him. Had Trap opened with the standard 13 gate with 2 chronos on probes, he wouldn't have been able to just build 2 more gates and go kill Bisu because the nexus would have finished in time for a nexus cannon to go down.
