Today I actually finally got above a 50% win rate! Feels good. I think that I'm a lot better at PvP than I realized, since I've been winning a lot of those. A while ago I was only practicing in unranked, and nearly all of the unranked games I played for practice were against protoss, so I guess I could say I got a great deal of practice out of that.
Feeling a bit tired today, so I decided that I'd make my battle report brief. In exchange, I'll be writing up a bit about more personal feelings that I do while playing the game.
So first off; I never BM (unless the opponent's being a dick, in which case it's not really BM as much as an internet arguement). It's not really something I'm proud of, nor do I think that it's something that should be seen of as some great act of self restraint. When I play SC2, I just really feel that it's more than a game... not that I think of it as my future career, but more that it's something that's near and dear to me now. Being rude in it just feels childish, immature. This feels like engaging in a very sophisticated activity between 2 players, playing for that win. Don't you think it would be stupid to see 2 people playing chess and when one of them is in checkmate yelling "OMG you're such a scrub you only beat me because you're gay."...
Now that it's the summer I've been spending more and more of my available time trying to improve at SC2, and it really has just come to annoy me when people at my level are still complaining when they lose. The BM doesn't annoy me, rather the mere fact that they even do so annoys me to think that I'm around the same level of play as such immature people (Then again, I'm sure that even GMs bitch about their losses). Being well mannered and polite makes this game feel like something even better, and it makes playing even more rewarding. Just imagine, people, if after every game you won, your opponent was actually happy about it. Imagine beating your opponent in a really long, drawn out game and after barely pulling ahead and winning, being told "Good Game (insertnamehere), I really had fun. Fucking killer harass xD!" or something similar. Not only are you happy about the win, but if everyone were so well mannered, it's even makes you feel good about having played against such a good player.
I'd just like to put out this suggestion to you people; next time you lose - hell, every time you lose - don't just leave, don't tell the opponent about what his mother's like in bed. Complement them. If it was a good game for you, let the enemy know it too. If everyone were to be such positive people, it'd make the community even better... Maybe you can make someone's day if they had been on a bad losing streak and finally beat the shit out of you . I would love it so much if nearly the whole community of this game that I love so much could be well mannered, not sore losers. Maybe this doesn't mean much to others who play this game, maybe it's just another AngryBirds to you. Even if you're such a non-h4rDc0r3 player, think about those poor pigs! They're taking a beating from bird for your enjoyment. Give them some respect too <3.
Next game you people play, give the opponent a good complement when you lose. It'll even make you feel better, I swear. I'll leave my ranting/talking at this, and leave you with a picture of my immediate surroundings of my computer.
Poor old coffee cup, all that coffee that's gone into it over the years... Also, hipster chicken.

The Game
Brief Report
+ Show Spoiler +
A PvT on Neo Planet. My enemy opens up with 4 reapers, no doubt attempting to rush me with more reapers than I'm prepared for. My defensiev is a little bit slow because I was sending out Emily on a scouting mission, but she does get back in time to prevent any real probe damage (which worked out for me since I got my natural much faster).
Mike bravely falls in the line of combat. Meanwhile Emily receives all the credit.
I figure that my opponent's marine count is pretty low because of his early reapers, so I decide to go with a fast drop. Pretty unfamiliar with this sort of play, but I do fairly well. My stalker target fire could have made me last a lot longer, but there were so many units that it was hard for me to distinguish the marines from the SCVs.
Focus fire's just too hard, why not make a-move stronger?
My warp prism spotted him making an extremely early third, so I make my third a bit earlier than usual to compensate, knowing that I'll be relatively safe.
For once, I actually move out before I'm basically maxed. My army consists of 2 colossi so I decide that I'll be able to overpower his army, and I head to his 3rd to deal some damage to it. My proxy pylon is a bit out of the way, and I totally forgot to bring along a probe for a closer one. Sadly, one of my Colossi derped and went the wrong way, making it both vulnerable to death (which I believe it experienced) and lowering my firepower a tad. My attack went in around when he was moving out and I indirectly prevented his drop :D!
Scratch that, the colossus that was "in position" died, while the one that was being stupid survived and dealt out damage.
The terran lost quite a few medivacs because he forgot to move them away from the colossus... silly medivacs, you can't damage me!
I use my colossus to simply poke away at his wall while I wait for a second colossus to come. I realize that I have a superior army at this point and most likely a superior economy, so I besiege him, teasing him at engaging my superior army without the help of of bunker and wall. Some damage is dealt, and I continue to grow stronger.
Wheeeeeeee get some entropy bitches!
Terran goes for a drop, probably his only way to actually come back into the game at this point. The drop is handled with ease thanks to photon overcharge +some warpins, and my warmy moves in to kill his base while it's missing many units.
Piles of dead bodies, piles of dead bodies everywhere.
My enemy is rather sour at his loss, and complements the strength of my army.
"Sick skilless army bro"? What's skilless?
Thanks for reading and the support up till this 50th entry :D! Leave some feedback if you care, and if your little brain won't explode from it, try to be kind and even praise your enemy next time you lose. Take care and GL HF!

Although no longer part of their community, Phalanx continues to support DarkOnyx. They have barely any activity, but with some more love maybe they might actually get their asses working . They're a great bunch of guys, and really the reason why I could get up to the league I am now.
