His aggressive playstyle, mastery over a wide range of champions, and spot on mechanics make him one of the most exciting talents in the world. This whole post was good but I wanna fanboy some more and state for probably the tenth time on TL that Zz1tai not being in All Stars should be a sin. Name a champion in the game and Zz1tai has probably run it mid lane. And crushed with it. I still remember when he would run Lee Sin and J4 in mid lane during early S2 when people were first discovering this brand new "Froggen" guy and ranting about how good his Anivia was. I remember when iG played CLG in a Korean showmatch and Zz1tai ran AP Yi and single handedly destroyed CLG during probably the height of their talent (when they had Doublelift and saintvicious on the team). There isn't anyone in the world, not even just mid laners all roles, that has a champion pool as diverse as Zz1tai. Hopefully iG can stay #1 in China so that maybe, just maybe, Zz1tai will get the credit he deserves instead of being over shadowed by a less talented Misaya.

Looks more like they are still jungling, but that 100cs thing is a lot easier to achieve with the right champion. So, people aim for that as a primary goal than anything else. I don't really get the whole point on a jungle skills challenge when there is a lot more to jungling than just the jungle. Seems really rushed to decide it in this way. So far, none of the NA reps have really had much luck there going by the write up posted by nojito earlier: On May 24 2013 02:28 nojitosunrise wrote: Riot posted up some updates to the skills challenge http://eune.lolesports.com/season3/allstar/articles/day-1-skills-competitions-update Dyrus in his 1v1 seems the most interesting, but I would never imagine Soraka being a legit pick from Dyrus. It seems the second fight was really close in his 1v1. Really odd to read this though. I also don't understand why it's a best of 1. Overall, the organization is really frustrating. How can you have a Bo1 skills challenge in the first place. Doesn't work with this type of game. How can you organize a Bo1 skills challenge when you are going to be playing some of the matches before the official day. Those write ups are reallllllly short and seem to be lacking proper proofreading. It leaves out details as if it's made for people who saw that matches, but the only ones who saw them were Riot/press?. They could have at least planned it so that the VODs would be up with the write-ups. For example on missing detail in write ups. Seems a lot like they rushed these things out: Jungle – GPL vs LPL: With a Rejuvenation Bead, Health Potion and a Sight Ward to complement his Ignite and Barrier, Singapore Sentinels' HarLeLuYaR was looking to dive straight into a deathmatch with World Elite's Troll on Twisted Fate First sentence doesn't properly introduce the champions selected. It does not mention that HarLeLuYaR went LeeSin until you are randomly given the information in the third sentence or fourth sentence. Furthur on, it says HarLeLuYaR was getting desperate, but doesn't properly show us the setting where the fight/forced fight occured. Where was it? Which bush line did he sneak behind?: With Troll quickly accelerating towards the 100 CS win condition, HarLeLuYaR grew desperate, sneaking behind the bush line to try and land a Dragon's Rage – but the ward drop and Resonating Strike failed to put him in position. With Lee Sin reduced to a sliver of life, his opponent’s massive creep score threatened to end the match Another one: How much CS did Dyrus actually have that Shy was forced to All-In? Things looked grim for Shy later on, though, as Dyrus repeatedly shoved the lane up to the turret and pulled ahead in creep kills as he paved the way to the 100 CS win condition. How much HP did Shy survive by? But the bush was no deterrent to Shy, following Dyrus in and narrowly clinching the win with his superior auto-attack damage

As an example, there's no real analysis of All-Star events for sports like the Slam-Dunk contest or Home Run Derby.

It was more of a "for fun thing" to make attending more worthwhile, or for players to do something fun for the fans like play Teemo. As an example, there's no real analysis of All-Star events for sports like the Slam-Dunk contest or Home Run Derby. Of course there is a point to not taking it too seriously, but they should be ready for it? The amount of coverage coming from Riot officially is pretty lackluster. In normal games/sports, there are ALWAYS videos released afterwards. At the very least, some highlight reels. I assume there will be VODs included later, but at what point later? It ruins a lot of the hype created if they don't properly plan. The fact that people feel the need to make an excuse such as "they didn't plan for it" is not a good sign to see. It's actually pretty awkward.
