Even ignoring TPA it would be like 4 Taiwanese teams, 3 Singaporean teams, and Saigon Jokers, lol. SGS and Saigon Jokers are probably representative of the average skill of "top 8 SEA" and I'm hard-pressed to believe they would be that much weaker than NA LCS. They're probably around same skill level as the lower half of NA LCS.

TSM basically hasn't played anything for a VERY LONG time. They were too occupied with moving and stuff. We will see tomorrow if they are actually going to be as dominating as they were in S2.
Curse is obviously really strong right now - so is CLG. Dignitas was worrisome - but they did beat CLG in a best of 3 a few days ago and they looked solid (kiwikid pretty much carried every single game), so I think they will be fine.

"can play to", almost any team can take games off of TSM/Dig, but talking about out of 100 game averages, dig/tsm prolly going to win at least 60% or more of those game.

Won't believe it till I see it. All I know is TSM/Dig haven't produced results in ages, while teams like SGS can take games off top tier asian teams.

There is no way TSM/DIG are competition ready right now. They have been in the process of moving into their gaming houses and settling in for the past month or so. I fully expect them to be very rusty for the first couple of weeks.

And all season 3 teams are kind of moving I guess. TSM and Dignitas had way more time to move to a new house and prepare for season 3 than the other teams that had to qualify first.

From that thread.
Hey guys, I'll clear this up now: Yes, some skins are banned from the LCS. This is for spectator readability concerns only, and has nothing to do with balance. Typically, we ban out skins that are particularly "noisy", or very different from the base model. This is to make the action a little easier to follow for you guys.
Nooky out
I wonder if Frostfire Annie will make the list.

Just read this. The writer seems to love Dignitas and predicts them winning the LCS and saying they are the best team in NA right now.
Did I miss something? I feel like TSM/CLG/CRS/Dig haven't shown themselves much except for NESL since the end of season 2. He seems to make a rather bold prediction/statement out of seemingly thing air. Maybe that's the TSM fanboy in me, but still.

Just not CLG tomorrow first thing. That going to be pretty ugly I think. Either way very excited for this to begin.

I don't think dig is the best team but I can't fault him for thinking they look strong at the moment. Having Crumbzz back in the jungle as actually been a big boost for them. Kiwikid is still new but he has impressed me a few times in NESL games. And then the rest of the team is solid par usual. I think a lot of people have a negative impression of TSM at the moment. I cut them slack for the WC and MLG Dallas, but getting eliminated as early as they did at IPL5 was really disconcerting. Maybe they'll come out and prove me wrong, but I haven't seen the dominate TSM since PAX in September.

i pick them over CLG. It's possible but I'm expecting TSM to start out slowly and pick things up mid-season. They're the only LCS team that hasn't played any oficial matches this year. Their last tournament was the Solomid series finals where didn't do too hot at all. I'll go ahead and say that their refusal to play in any tournaments other than their own series, and major NA LANs (IPLs & MLGs) is probably the main reason why they fell behind while teams like Curse participated in anything to could get in.

TSM < CLG Curse > Dig CLG > GGU TSM > VulC

A quick reminder, if there are still people that are willing to participate and haven't seen the post in the Preview thread:
A fantasy league was created on Bossminion.com, exclusively for TL members. Go to this link, enter the password, part=51, and join in.
It's only hours until the first games begin, finish your lineup and join now. The setup is a little iffy - you need to create and save your lineup for the TL.net league specifically.
My predictions for the night: TSM < CLG Curse > Dignitas CLG > GGU TSM < Vulcun Command
|
Predictions - "No upsets today" TSM - CLG Curse - Dignitas CLG - GGU TSM - Vulcun Command
|
I've posted my thoughts on the NA LCS with a Power Ranking. I'll almost certainly write an EU one next, just need to carve out some time to write and study some of the teams.
