???
Do you watch GPL? I think GPL is probably the worst league internationally when it comes to skill. @_@ NA is bad but not that bad.

We're shooting for weekly recaps (with a dash of preview thrown in). No doubt it's going to be a lot of work but I know the rest of the staff and I are going to work as hard as possible to keep on track.

You know, you wouldn't know that the opening games are a couple days away given the lack of change in player habits i.e. lots of big name players still streaming solo queue antics.
Pretty disappointed I must say.

Ehh, the thing about GPL is that its more or less required to have 1+ team from each of the participating countries (and no more than 2). Think what would happen to NA LCS if you had a similar rules requiring Central American teams.
If you actually took the top 8 teams from SEA, even discounting TPA/TPS, the skill level would probably be around the level of NA LCS.

Pretty disappointed I must say. As long as they do team practice on top of that its ok. EG for example does 6 hours of scrims daily, and afterwards or before some of them do 3 to 4 hours of soloq.

Counter Logic, it essentially means reverse psychology.
Anyways, Curse should be able to win both their games this week. Gunna be rooting for Curse!

I remember one of the seasons of Garena, during TPA slump, they only dropped 1 series (or game?) during season. I think you over estimate strength of SEA. (well maybe equal to the bottom 4 of NA LCS).

Really excited for this! TSM TSM TSM!!
TSM got me into the competitive LoL scene, as TL got me into the competitive SC:BW and SC2 scene - needless to say I am a TSM fanboy. Only until TL gets their own LoL team of course
Will there be live reports? Or just weekly recaps/previews? As someone (where I know I am a very VERY small minority) who only has their Blackberry, I can't watch live streams or VODs - so I would be interested to know what sort of coverage there will be.
Also, is it possible to do a fantasy league for this? I know there is one at bossminions.com, but I was interested if TL would be able to run their own?

Oddone was mentioning that Tresh wasnt allowed on his stream so i assume its Tresh patch with Tresh disabled.

Even ignoring TPA it would be like 4 Taiwanese teams, 3 Singaporean teams, and Saigon Jokers, lol.
SGS and Saigon Jokers are probably representative of the average skill of "top 8 SEA" and I'm hard-pressed to believe they would be that much weaker than NA LCS.

No fantasy league since TL doesn't "endorse" LoL the way they do DotA and BW/SC2. As for the live reports, while we won't be doing 100+ pages over the span of a few hours like it happened frequently on BW (and SC2 too I guess? Stopped following that awhile ago), there's always some. It's hard to really detail it since there is less "downtime" than in BW, being a 5v5 game and all, and there's also more information to conveil so it's not a very precise/step-by-step LR like some did (props to them).

Riot is hoping to implement their own Fantasy League by the second half of the season. Otherwise there's a couple 3rd party sites but I never fell in love with any of them.

What happened to the Leaguepedia Fantasy League? I had high hopes for them setting up a proper one - all the other ones I checked kinda suck. bossminion.com looks solid, but has horribly tilted ratings for the players - you can easily run a lineup with Doublelift, Alex Ich, sOAZ and other comparably s-tier players for the other positions...

Thx ure righ (WET actually :p), why the games start later on friday? :/ 1am (2am CET) start is pretty late for us EU folks. Its Friday/Saturday but still staying up to 6 am if we want to catch the games is insane

Never saw an actual Leaguepedia League, just the bracket predictions they always do. Yeah, there have to be some trade-offs in order to make it fun. I'm still waiting for somewhere to do it like really fantasy sports where a player is only allowed on one team so once you draft him no one else can have him.
Edit: Obviously this would have to be done with small groups of people, not the free-for-all set up most of these sites have.

Am I right in that CLG vs TSM is in about 3 hours? My favourite time converting website just went offline few days ago.

l0l fuck, you're right. My day was somewhat bad and I'm kinda trashed. Probably wishful thinking to come up with a highlight tonight. Thanks.

Well that's OK. It'll be fun to rifle through all the pages on my Blackberry during teaching downtime. The first game is at 11pm, but I just might stay up for it since it is TSM vs CLG and my Fridays are easy.
Too bad about Fantasy. Yah bossminion.com does look good, but I found it way too easy to pick almost any combination of really good players and have money leftover.
