Hello
I have a business trip next week to Dallas (TX), and I wonder if there are stuff to do in the evenings (dreaming that I will have time to do something else than working ...). I'm here only from sunday evening to thursday night.
More importantly : any barcraft in the area ? From what I saw, it seems pretty dead there, but perhaps information didn't hit on internet yet
Last question: is Texan accent that hard to understand when you come from Europe ?
Thanks.

Texas accents aren't that bad especially in the cities.
My only recommendation is In n Out burger which opened about a year ago. It's unbelievably good and was only on the west coast until recently. Double double, animal fries and a strawberry milkshake.... Awww yea!

Try some Chilli dude!! It would be the first thing i would do in Texas! Get some Chilli in me! :D
Then get some meat in me the following day via a big steak or a burger xD
Other than that, personally i would love to see the new Formula 1 track, the Circuit of the Americas. It was amazing to see on the TV last year and looks spectacular. Not sure if it is open, but they had this huge tower in the middle of it you could up and see everything at the top.

Dallas really didn't seem like my sort of town when I went there for MLG last year.
I did stop by the place where JFK was assassinated, so that might be interesting. The whole town seemed pretty dead though, and a lot of the people who were working that I talked to seemed to actually not be from Dallas themselves, just moved there recently since there are jobs there.

I remember when I went to Dallas for MLG, ran into a couple of beggars. Be sure not to give any money away, cause I feel like they just tell sob stories for some free $.
Didn't get to explore it much unfortunately, but there's some nice parts and some sketchy parts really close to each other in Dallas .

Austin has a bat-bridge and the biggest capitol building in the States, but probably a bit far away.
Fort Worth has a pretty nice Museum of Modern Art. And Billy Bob's there was quite impressive. And do eat lots of BBQ, really good stuff there. This one here for has amazing stuff: http://www.coopersbbq.com/tour.asp
edit: thinking about it: them bats might be hibernating

I don't know of any barcrafts around but do visit the Stockyards out in Fort Worth.

Thanks a lot for your answers !
I might not be able to do everything you mentioned (in the end, I'll be there to work), but I'll ensure to enjoy the food
