I haven't lost interest yet because it's really fun, but I too am terribly disappointed with the customization. The whole optimization points should be related to parts configuration (arms, legs, body, boosters, "shoulders", etc. instead of silly points that are gained from leveling and spent super easily. I really want an Armored Core (1, MoA) for the PC, and this is m y best chance for getting something like it, but I'm really worried about it's customization/replayability. I was seriously thinking of buying sharpshooter, but after playing the scout trial mech, I couldn't not buy the scout, which I'm loving (I hate that I can't change secondary weapon on it, or any other mech though — super lame)Are sharpshooters any good ? It takes forever to buy a new mech so i would like to know before hand, if not, rocketeers are good enough at controlling movement lanes ;p On December 16 2012 09:34 Telsh wrote: Well I think the rocketeer takes skill to use, which a lot of players don't have. People need to take full advantage of the limited mobility that the rocketeer has in order to not take too make free hits, and more importantly to ensure their hits land. In general I'd say rocketeer is strongest vs large mechs, good vs medium, and rather poor vs small (as long as the small mech is controlled well)i don't think the rocketeer is good at all whenever i 1v1 them in the starter mech i have no problems at all

Specifically because there's only 1 slot listed on the gear customization page for weapons, which is labeled "primary weapon", and clicking on it gives the 3 weapon options. While I didn't need to purchase the 1st weapon unlock (2nd primary weapon), I do have to purchase the 2nd weapon unlock (level 25, 3rd primary weapon), for like 4200 Hawken points. No real reason for mentioning this, but I thought it was noteworthy.

Definitely the easier class in my book. But i dislike to play it for that reason. I got the zerker and it's great if you know to use the TOWs (which is an incredibly awesome secondary), you got shitty HP, but you are way faster than assaults. I also got the bruiser, it's a fun class to play, specially if you got a team who plays as a team, because they will be forcing some mechs to fight in the open, where you excel at any range against most classes. You are weak against peekaboo tactics, but you can avoid those situations. Next one i will try will be the sharpshooter, i guess i will have to get to lvl 7 pretty fast with it to appreciate it. Btw, the lvl 25 weapon is another primary weapon, and you have to pay like 4k hawken points to get it, just so if you know you are closing to that lvl and you definitly want it, save hawken points for it. And right now, EMP is the best component by far, but i am pretty sure they will tone it down.

Customization seems to be fine for me. I can't tell yet if the business model is fair or not though, but so far I'm having fun.
