EPTLast night I had my first game where I felt incredibly comfortable throughout the entire game. I felt my grasp of what was going on was quite good, and I never felt out of the loop.
It's amazing how much there is to learn in this game. Every time you think your grasp of the game is getting stronger, you realize just how tenuous it is. There is always some trick, some play, you haven't seen or haven't figured out how to blend in to your play. It's really quite amazing, and after all these years, I'm starting to see why Dota and ARTS in general have become so popular.
I still feel that the learning resources for Dota are lacking though. Even the introductory videos that are out there seem to skim over topics that the presenter assumes the watcher understands. Perhaps there is a void here I can fill as I get more in to streaming my progress and blogging about it.
And so the beat continues. More learning, more fun.
