Hmm when you actually look at the players confirmed for code S, they overshadow these groups, though I do agree that code A will have really tough players nonetheless.
Also, really like HerO's odds of advancing with no Protoss's in his group .

Can't believe NSH_jjakji won a GSL.

Not surprised that ForGG is forfeiting GSL, but I am surprised Ganzi is dropping out completely.
Given how well the Kespa players have done this WCS Code A is going to look very different by the end of the year I think.

However, fOrGG and GanZi forfeited their ro32 games so they don't get a chance here. That's two groups of 6 and three of 5 for a total of 27. OK, thank you! bottom 2 players from each group goes down to code A? top 2 advance?

top 2 advance, rest are in code A

Sick sick line up... Hyun will destroy group A can't wait. Second place is up in the air though
|
those are some incredibly stacked groups

My predictions!
Group A: Keen, Jjakji (I believe, even though Hyun is more realistic) Group B: Sniper, Hack Group C: HerO, Maru Group D: Creator, Happy Group E: Ryung, Life
|
wow. I think those polls are showing a bit of a foreigner bias. I think it's cool seeing foreigners play in korea and attempt to take on the GSL. I almost always root for them like I do most times I don't care about either team particularly, I like the underdog, but him being most likely to get out of the group? I'm not so sure on that. Either way, good luck to all of the players, i hope there are some great games!

Awesome, looking forward to the new season. Mana fighting!
|
Mana said his only goal is to get in a solid month or so of Korean practise before WCS Europe.
|
Ouch seeded into a pretty brutal group. Good luck Mana!

If they can't make it out of those groups frankly they don't belong in code S and I would not want to see them there. jjakji, Bomber and Hyun's best match-up, by far, is vP. Mana got screwed. Creator got a cake walk besides Supernova.
You know vsX statistics a thousand times better than I do so I trust you are right in that regard. But it can also be said that there are advantages in drawing three terrans and playing protoss in a time where they are generally dominant. When all is said I just can't help but feel there is nothing to 'complain' about because these aren't any heavy-hitters and it is freaking hard to get in to code S. Bomber is iffy to score though because there is no way of knowing what quality he will bring to his play on any given day.

Has ThorZaIN even confirmed he would participate?

Let us all remember TeriusPrime, the zerg who was forced against his will to go 0-5 in his UD group to determine the necessity of tiebreakers. *bows head*

Mana has a brutal group and i don't think he'll advance. Thorzain has a good group but i don't rate him highly so my prediction:
Group A: Jjakji, Hyun (I hope, realistically it's probably Bomber)
Group B: Gumiho, Puzzle
Group C: Maru, aLive (damn, this is a group i cannot predict T_T)
Group D: Creator, SuperNova
Group E: viOlet, TheSTC (another group where i have no idea, however i want to see TheStC advance)

lol people voting Mana for group A? Good joke I guess, but he will get completely destroyed in that group. I don't think he can take a game off anyone there except maybe Keen assuming Keen does some whacky strategy.
