The TFT units weren't as gimmicky as those units currently look like. Way too much fancy stuff that is just not needed. Keep it freaking simple. got the simple units and we already see all the crying on the forums over the units because they are "boring". What you are recommending will literally make community in 100% complaint mode, unfortunately.
Battle Helion is the only kinda simple unit. The Warhound with Anti-Mech specialty is unneccsary and he mines the way they currently work really look too much like a gimmick.

really? I cant imagine them being useful under any situation, unless your just playing bronze people all day. Its nice blizzard think about the lower ranked people in development terms, but its certainly doesnt add much to the scene in terms of viability or mixing up current Terran meta When a protoss moves out to attack put mines between his robo and his army. I'm glad you agree the oracle is worthless as a harasser. If the mine actually is as bad as you think it is, you are only getting screwed as badly as protoss is. Beyond that, you can't be cost effectively attacked if your opponent doesn't have detection. That is an unbelievable amount of utility. ANd other than Terran who doesn't build mobile detection units ? Observers,Overseers aren't a big investment. If you see a protoss clearing your minefield, scan and snipe the obs with two vikings. Because of the mines his army has to be behind the obs. If he has no Colossi or Air though guess what i don't have , Vikings ... HotS is going to be a different game. By that argument, protoss isn't getting anything at all because I never make a stargate against Terran. All of the new protoss shit comes off the stargate. I think it is fair to speculate that you will be making vikings. You are so caught up in being the victim that you are looking for ways that the mine will be useless rather than looking for ways to use the mine. But why do the mines need that timer and the 200 damage ? 30-50ish with splash instantly and i'm happy. That 200 damage with Splash only comes into play if your oponent goes full retard .. 10 ingame seconds is ages . The mines have to be really really cheap ( like 25 mins or smt ) to be worth it if the only thing they do is kill exactly one random unit with max 200 hp unless the opponent alt-tabs , falls asleep etc.
They're not meant to be banelings. Terran-banelings + marine/marauder would be ridiculous.
They look like they're intended for zoning areas and punishing lazy players.

AFter watching the video, how the hell is the siege tank going to be viable at all? It seems like EVERYTHING is designed to counter it? Hopefully it will get some buff to compensate..

Terran is just going to go even more extinct then it is now. I'm definitely switching if nothing changes.

lol, a unit with 22 range ? Yeah, totaly gonna stay in the game rofl

Hunter seeker missile, nukes, now the widow mine ... all these weapons the terran has rarely do maximum damage against good players. But it doesn't mean they are useless. They force opponents to actually micro and control their units. They make the game more stressful and force good players to be good.
I think that's cool, personally. I don't want to be in the middle of a huge fight and have to micro my big dumb ultra out of the way because it has a mine stuck to it. I think it makes the game harder but in the right way.

The way its currently in the game it doesn't look very useful though. I can burrow a few all around and hope to hit a jackpot but 75/25 ( if this is true ) for 1 random units from Ling to really expensive unit could be just about anything. I don't know.
And punishing lazy players come on nobody is that lazy that pays any attention to his screen.

22 Range should be fun. This will actually be pretty cool to see once maps evolve into even larger maps.
To be honest, all of the new units look fun, yet looks as if it requires more micro to use. I like the direction they are going.

Ugh tempest collosus gameplay looks so boring. God I wish they'd remove both those things, it's just so dull I hate using units like this

Anything that forces good players to be good is a good thing.

SInce it doesn't go off if the unit dies it basically is a non-combat unit which means you don't need to be really good to avoid the damage ( same as nukes ).
If the player is already solid enough he's not going to be hit be stuff that too easy dogdeable and its just a waste of resources.

Gonna be fun to not play a single TvT during the beta tho. :< And to kill players experimenting with the new unit by just going standart marine tanks or MMVG.

Well they will still probably be used but they will keep their underwhelming status.

No factory response to armored anti-air, Mech's viability isn't going to increase.

I kind of have no hope for PvT now. Protoss must have zealots to fight bio, but those battle hellions just rape shit. -.- We'll see I guess.

lol the oracle is insanely fast.
And expensive... 150/200 I think, from the second video. I'm not sure I ever see myself using cloaking field if it has to lock-down like the warp prism to bring it online. 200 gas is way too much to get insta-sniped.
...still really hating on entomb. It looks so stupid for both players. Hilariously easy to do for the toss, hilariously easy to deal with for the zerg.
