Everyone asking about the thor, they must have left it in. The warhound isn't anti air anymore (maybe anti mech air, I don't know how the missiles work), so it's not able to fill in the thor's role. If they did take it out, Terran is beyond screwed in HotS.
Why is the cloaking field rediculous? Terran just shits over oracles with marines and vikings, so what`s the deal. they have no health.
And it`s just funny how everyone makes opinions about the balance and stuff. Guess what, the whole thing is just a hype video and far away from any balance. So let`s calm down and the six or what so ever months of balance testing tweek things out.
All units look promising imo, but yeah the mothership thing looks kinf of silly i must admit^^

Are you kidding me. Its Protoss units that are garbage. I love the terran units. Battle hellions seem to do pretty well against zealots and it seems a version of the spider mine is now back . The new goliath needs to be tested out. Similarly zerg gets a bastardized lurker and dark swarm!! Protoss seem to be stuck with the most boring units of all time. However the new mothership may allow for more harass play due to better base defense.

Well. I like vipers except their showcase talent >Mortal COmbatan<. Get rid of that gamey ability and I will love it to death. It has consume (nerfed but whatever I'll take it) and it has dark swarm. Now if only we could somehow trade infestors fungal for some kind of ability.. that lets you do AOE damage over time.. hm. I'll think about this one.
I should put in why I don't like it. that seems important.
It fucks over positioning and micro like forcefield and fungal on crack.

The tempest range looks absurd, there's no way that will make release.

The oracle looks awesome.

Viper + Infestor will be so broken...Terran won't have a chance vs zerg lategame even more so than now.

I personally don't like it very much. It makes it a LOT easier to know when to transfer workers to a new base, but on the other hand that's exactly what a skilled player should check all the time, spent some APM on it etc, It makes quite a difference if your saturation is perfect or your base is over/under saturated. Now EVERYONE would have a perfect saturation in every base. No box workers=no skill. But seriously, something completely missed in SC2 over BW was you physically could not do everything at once. There was so much happening that you had to balance your choices into your strategy. That's strategic depth. Simplification is not impressive. I'm sure a lot more players will get out of platinum because of it but the easier you make a game, the less interesting it is to watch. I'm guessing this particular change will have about 0 effect on pro-games. Really minor change that won't change anything about strategic depth at all. I don't think this will make the game any easier on the higher levels at all.
I like the change, as long as they add something else for people to do, to differentiate between skill.
One thing that annoys me about SC2 is that a lot of units take up more supply, leading to smaller max armies. We need the OPPOSITE. If SC2 was 300 max supply (which will require a re-balance), I think it would be much more interesting, and skill differentiating.

Gas cloud only works on biological units I think?

I can see some things already that won't make it to the final release. Overall not very impressed with it so far. I will save further judgement though until HotS beta is open to the public.
That wasnt a mothership. That was a mothership core that I believe can be upgraded into a mothership.
Also the Tempest range didnt seem that useful except when killing swarm host and dodging vipers. Other than that it seemed like most of what it did was rather inconsequential.

I believe. they were testing. out. new. features. Fluid. It wasn't like it was Game 7 of the clan war. Plus if Blizzard put up videos of zerg winning I think a lot of people would QQ loudly about imba

Please, please, please remove abduct.. I'm already experiencing Terran sadness watching just the first video.. this isn't mortal kombat.. we don't need to mass produce Scorpion..
I really hope Blizz listens and improves HotS a lot more.

22 range tempest seriously?

I have faith Dustin Browder will pull through and give the Terran Battle Cruiser a colossus like AOE lazer beam of death.

except that it would be way too gas heavy

i just witnessed the multiplayer update video:
looks like the broodlord/infestor/corruptor death ball won't work in zvp = good game play development looks like collusus deathballs won't work as effectively aginst vipers = good game play development
but it's too early to tell if a new compostition of deathballs arises in hots and as an overall opinion i give the thumps up.

I think viper/infestor might take too much gas, however I do see viper/ling/bane as a good 11min game-ender.

Hydralisk has the biggest impact in the game. Why am I not surprise...
