07:06 KST - method linked here has been disproved here 10:54 KST - Find a full timeline of pro comments (including Spades) in the topic here. 08:47 KST - Summary: Accusations of maphacking have the potential to destroy a player's career if left unaddressed. Because of the potential consequences, we should be careful about accepting unproven accusations. The principle of 'innocent until proven guilty' should be applied here. That does not mean that there has been a conclusion about this case, however, which is why this thread remains tentatively open. Please discuss with caution and use evidence to back up your claims. I indeed found some stuff including what I believe what is the best thing out there : -Press F6 to lock/unlock camera, wich means you have to press F6 each time you want to actually use your maphack. It also comes with an obs production tab so looking in fog is useless. -You can also lock onto another player camera mouvement like you do in a replay, but ingame if anyone is interested. -Production Tab -Forcefield duration bar (lol ? ) This thing is by far the best shit I could find out there. I do not believe there is some "automatic" camera lock like the OP claims. Better, I can almost certainly claim there is no such thing. This combined with the fact that the replays, even if a bit suspicious, aren't even close to being conclusive. How many successful drop did Luci sneak in ? Nah I don't believe Spades to be a maphacker. If you want to expose someone, at least do it with your main account. Peace. A list of maphack features: Features: Warden Protection Configurable Hotkeys 5-State Maphack -> Modes are off, lite, shared, dark and full -> Show units on mainmap and minimap -> Show invisible and burrowed units -> Show hallucinated units -> Show Zerg creep -> Show load bars (Dropships etc) -> Show force field duration bars -> Show health bars under fog of war -> Health bars shown under fog of war are white -> Enable sounds under fog of war -> Enable selections under fog of war (client-sided) -> View what your enemy is training/researching or the contents of selected -> Graphical bugs fixed Camera Lock Show Player Selections Show Player Clicks Show Enemy Camera Enable Observer Panel -> Set to Production tab when game starts -> Filter out local player -> Filter out allied players -> Filter out unwanted units and researches -> Apply filtering for units and researches after X game seconds -> Allow clicks through Production and Units tabs -> Configurable transparency for Units and Production tabs Enable Color Icon With Race Enable 1v1 Resource Info Watch Player Camera Graviton Beam Hack Auto-Start -> Auto-Mine minerals -> Auto-Create 1 worker -> Auto-Rally main building to local mineral patch -> Auto-Group main building. Auto-Larva -> Auto-Group queens Auto-Worker Train Auto-Mule Auto-Chrono Boost Auto-Stalker Blink Auto-Roach Burrow -> Auto-Roach unburrow Auto-Queen Transfusion Auto-Group Buildings Award Achievements Tac Nuke Strike Alert Nydus Worm Alert Unit Alert Dropship Alert Supply Alert Camera Zoom Out Instant Win Against A.I. Camera Lock Lock your current camera position and save selected so you can freely look around the map so that your camera movement and selections are not recorded into replay. Use this when necassary to help avoid suspicious camera movement in your replays. If you happen to leave this feature on and try to command any units it will automatically turn off, this is a safety feature so that you don't leave it on by accident. Blizzard needs a solution to this nonsense, because as it stands offline tournaments can often times be won by someone using a maphack.

Don't cherrypick replays, just grab a bunch of them, upload them and let people go through them. If you're not hacking, this will basically completely exonerate you -- there will definately be comparisons to your match history to ensure you aren't excluding replays, and it's a sufficient enough sample size to remove the random "luck" movements. Just look at Testie and TreK. Both players for YEARS had people backing their side of the story. "This game was just luck", "that game was random chance", "this game wasn't conclusive enough". When they were caught hacking later, only with conclusive proof, they were almost universally shunned. Those two examples are why I would say the community has today adopted a "once a hacker, always a hacker" stance. There are some players like TT1 who haven't had accusations brought against them since their hacking incident, but a lot of people in the community don't want to take that chance. Yes, this very much. It wasn't just the fact that Spades hacked, but he hacked in Yankee League, which was pretty big at the time. Not only did he make himself look bad, but he made his team and friends that defended him look bad. The lack of a public apology after all of this doesn't help his case. Not trying to live in the past and I honestly don't know if he hacked in these replays or not, but for the newer posters wondering why the older posters are suspicious, there were quite a bit of big hacking incidents throughout Brood War and we would definitely love to avoid those.

I hope a pro player on itg or sotg dares to watch these replays and give his opinion. Avilo made a good post though. That shit was strange. Well that is a good point. A "smart" hacker (even though there obviously is no such thing as a smart hacker) would have a routine of a simple click to deactivate and activate the hack during the game just to confuse anyone trying to analyse it. A hacker getting away with it would most likely create replays that on its own cannot be used as clear evidence in any way. Im just talking in general now though and im not implying anything, like others pointed out; innocent until proven guilty.

Game 4: Meta I'm more than willing to defend his scouting scv not having to have to look at it to turn it around and send it back to base. Sometimes I just want to know the position of the enemy, and he sees that it is blocked off on the minimap and sends it back. However, to this point: 7:30 is all I needed to see. I watched it multiple times and there's no doubt in my mind that he sees the medivac dropping units and he's waiting for them to unload and start moving away from the cliff before he engages. No. I encourage you to watch this one and look at his clicks. He knows they are headed to the top right and takes the angle necessary to cut them off, despite not technically being able to see it. I was okay with the other stuff in the other games, timing related things he could have been familiar with by watching previous replays of this player etc, but this one play at 7:30 on game 4 Meta was just too much. Sorry sir, I have to agree with the OP. Yes, 7:30 on metal stands out noticeably.

Yeah it's one of the many I found, didn't thought it was necessary to in the gigantic feature list. It still doesn't have the magic thing OP describes. I also agree its ridiculous, there is so many thing that directly infer with game files, I can't believe it's not detectable.

Is there a reason why you haven't done this yet? This is EXACTLY what needs to happen. It's not like this is a situation only seen in eSports. In conventional sports players are often accused of using steroids, and when they refuse to take a drug test suddenly there is even greater suspicion without the hard evidence. If Spades won't come out and do that, he's as good as guilty in my book. It's an obnoxious thing to have to do to clear your name, but if there is any suspicion that you are hacking and you know that you are innocent, you should be willing to go to make things right.

If anyone is able to contact him for this, it'd be a good idea..

Just seems like denial, and defensiveness to avoid the topic.
