Haha, I did the same kinda thing when I was younger. I would say "En Taro Adun" to my friends who didn't play Starcraft to confuse the hell out of them xD.

It means "in honor of Adun"
Adun was the one who saved the Dark Templar from persecution by the Conclave. It is also hinted that he was the first Archon ever ("the lore states that "he burned like a star").
Still, Khalani is supposed to be telepathic, so grammar and syntax is, in a certain sense, pointless; unless you can syntactically arrange brain waves.
EDIT: And since it is one whole sentence, there is no comma. Also, I would assume that someone who does not know Khalani would simply get a migrane and hear some kind of high-pitched squeals when a protoss attempts to communicate.

GIEF A dictionary does not a language make.
Did it become less desirable then?

Nope nope nope that never happened. I don't know what you're talking about. Nope nope nope.
But seriously, Tassadar is StarCraft's Jesus.
Wait.. that would imply zombification.. in which case..

En Taro is "in honor of" which the High Templar say but the Dark Templar say "Adun Toridas" which is "may Adun protect/hide you." I don't think anyone has said "Tassadar Toridas" but they might eventually.
It should be noted that Adun and Tassadar both did the weird magical vanishing death spirit thing. H4x.

It's a matter of preference. It's like asking, which is correct
(1) Would you like a naked woman ", or a nude ant"? (2) Would you like a naked woman "or a nude ant"?

Well, just think intuitively. If the comma were correct, it would mean that every time someone said "En Taro, Adun," they were talking to Adun. Since Adun is a corpse, we can conclude that there's no comma. This also explains why we had to wait until the immolation of Tassadar before we could say En Taro Tassadar.

I was shocked when I booted up SC2 for the first time and I heard the protoss saying "en taro tassadar." Just shocked, since I played the original SC, I was used to hearing en taro adun.

It was used in Broodwar as well

Actually... when it comes to language, think about how you "think". If you listen to the thoughts you're having (trippy, I know), don't they usually come in some kind of language? Along of course with imagery, emotional sideband, and other sensory inputs. Still, there is an ordering to thoughts, which may be syntactical. A race of pure telepaths might not develop a language as we understand it - they may be even unable to consider such a thing. After all, they don't need it. The mere existence of Khalani as a "language", however, would seem to suggest that the Protoss did develop a language. They also make sounds, so it's possible that Khalani was only ever developed as a spoken/written language in order to facilitate communication with other races, or was left as a legacy of the ancients. (Then, too, the advanced mechanical constructs of Protoss may demand a language, unless they can develop a machine-mind interface capable of "programming" solid state circuitry. Or, rather, flux state circuitry - I doubt they have anything so passe as solid state logic gates.)
As for what a human may perceive... given our general "mind deafness" we may lack the ability to perceive telepathic communications. Alternately, we may be bombarded with stimuli which would make an acid trip look like Disneyland, as we do not have the same sensory organs as Protoss. If they are exceptionally talented projectors (and we have any capability of receiving the signal) we may actually get something we understand. Or they may be able to just download the entire language into our minds without us noticing... Seriously, this particular question has been discussed indirectly in literally hundreds of Science Fiction stories and novels. But I keep thinking that if they even have a language, there must be some reasoning for it, and if it's a language it has to have some kind of grammer and syntax - even if make sense to us it does not, hrm?

About Protoss human/terran communication - the Protoss doesn't "talk" with the terrans right? I mean I always assumed that they do it telepathically, but in that case wouldn't that freak some guys out ? I can't recall any "get them out of my head! !#%@ "- comments from the terran characters?

Well, shouldn't you be freaked out by the fact that Zerg Overmind could speak? Why would he need to and how the hell everyone is able to understand what he "says"? At least Protoss historically have a need to communicate with each other, unlike Zerg.
Just drop this topic.
