TPW Petite made by wrl Published on NA!
Concept: After Barrin's exciting and epic post about 6m all of us in TPW realized how we had been wasting our time on all of these 8m2g maps, and knew we had to be at the forefront of this 6m revolution. We were enamored with what this new idea could bring to the world of competetive SC2 and quickly got to work to create the highest quality 6m1hyg maps anyone would see.
I bring you, TPW Petite the summation of many weeks of hard analytical work to develop the perfect map for the next generation of SC2.
Stats: 6m1hyg! 4 Spawns Rotational + Reflective Symmetry BEACH TILESET
Overview: + Show Spoiler +
Aesthetics: + Show Spoiler +
Thanks everyone, I look forward to your comments!

Nyoh my gawd...
It's... it's just beautiful... I'm doing this whole thread a sin by tainting this map's presence with my imperfect words.

Wow this is pretty brilliant! A lot of different ideas compared to my most recent maps but I like this as well! Especially the rotational balance in this one just seems right. Probably cos of 6m1hyg?
I think it's pretty cool that you used a very underused aesthetic theme and showed how good it can look! I think I haven't seen a beach map in SC2 so far (correct me if I'm wrong).

It is 4 player Steppes of War omg. Nice map tho.

Steppes of War was a big influence, but I felt it needed to go smaller. This map is actually half the overall size of Steppes of War, and I think it worked out great!

Sorry but this is not 1 step forward but instead 4 backwards. Not looking at the 6m concept and good aesthetic - this map is nothing more than a 2base allinish map like 90% of the first maps we got during beta and first seasons. I mean c'mon how will you ever get a third base... also the 6m concept changes nothing over here.

Fairly certain he is trolling in case you weren't sure. It seems not everyone is on board with FRB.

Today just might be April 1st. Yet I can't find my calender.

Phenomenal aesthetics, the close up shots really show off the brilliance that is this map.

One April fools map was a fun idea yes (referring to TPW Jackhammer) but now I'm starting to find it a bit annoying how all the incoming fool maps are stealing all the attention away from the serious ones. :\

I don't agree I think it's sane to reboot the thought process that has lead Blizzard to balancing Starcraft 2. Eventually it will lead 6m supporters to choices like are the maps imbalanced or is the 6 minerals concept flawed ? And then units data will need to be changed thus making a different mod, which will probably lead to units being cheaper in the same proportions as sc2. So the game will be slower and the whole 6 mineral fad would be equivalent to playing Starcraft 2 in fast instead of faster.

I don't see why everyone is making 10 base 6m1g maps when that's actually equal to a 7.5 base 8m2g map. Gameplay is also boring, with 2 base allins prevalent due to a tiny nat to nat distance. You also have no interesting bits of design, it's all uniform. This map has no potential in its current state. You must make the map bigger, with viable thirds belonging to your main/nat, and not someone else's. It also needs more interesting features.
Edit: Wait a minute... It's still march 31 here -.-

Thanks everyone, we are trying to get in contact with some major sponsors to get a tournament rolling, as we're starting to get a really strong map pool developed.
