I am requesting some help.
A bar in Vancouver, has a free N64 / boardgame tonight and they invite local bands to DJ the night. Tonight, my band is DJing. The concept is to have bands play what they like; the participants are just playing board games and Mario Kart 64 so I'm not trying to make anyone dance. So I'm working on a playlist for tonight and wondering if you could help narrow down / add to my list. Here is what I have so far:
Definite Beach House - Walk in the Park The XX - Islands Taeyang - Wedding Dress Peter Bjorn and John - It Don't Move Me Two Door Cinema Club - Eat That Up, Its Good For You
Trying to decide between the songs Lykke Li - Little Bit or I'm Good, I'm Gone Robyn - Indestructable or Be Mine
Band definite: open to song suggestions Super Junior - No Other or It's You T-ara - Like the First Time or other Girls Generation - Oh or Gee or Other 2NE1 - Fire or I don't Care
Anything else is greatly appreciated. I'll be listening all day at work today. I have about an hour or so. I'll be leaving for the bar around 8 PM GMT; so anything after that is not necessary.
Thanks

Unfortunately all of that music sucks.
Possibly make a new playlist with music that doesn't blow?

I wouldn't play all that kpop unless you have a large korean population that is going to be present.

So are you just after some wallpaper background noise to play while everyone else is busy with the games?
|
Just use a radio playlist, It's what 70% of the "DJ's" in my area do, and people like it..

Pretty much; we are just there to provide music while people play their games.

The idea is to play what you listen to; which is indie pop and kpop for me.

If that's the case, your selection is fine - especially if it's supposed to be stuff that you like.
For what it's worth, I'd go with "Little Bit" over "I'm Good, I'm Gone."

O.O reaction from the Kpop lol. Idk, I quite think you should change the kpop playlist unless you know that lots of people likes Kpop

If you care: Curtis Mayfield - Move On Up Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell - Ain't no mountain high enough That new SHINee song that's on youtube Danny Brown - Grown Up And everything Perfume!
And it looks like this music isn't what you're looking for

Yeah, I definitely recommend adding SHINee - Sherlock if OP wants to add more k-pop into the playlist.

But isn't the idea of "DJing" to play what the listeners like also? I mean, like I said, unless there are going to be a lot of koreans, I'm pretty sure most people will be like "wtf" to kpop. :o
ps- just giving a suggestion

Yea I don't understand the kpop...

play classical music, bitches love classical music.
there is no greater feeling in the world than owning the shit out of some nerd to the sounds of beethoven's 5th or rachmaninoff's 3rd

Curtis and Marvin are great suggestions. Love those songs.

I can't encroach my brother - he DJs professionally in town and always promotes Grimes.

If you're including T-ara, you need TTL. It's their best song for me hands down. Maybe some Roly Poly for good measure. + Show Spoiler +http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NFFgRRLInD4&ob=av2n
